Loved the food hear. We are vegetarians and there are plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. The food is fantastic, the place is a bit narrow but it’s cozy and has a speakeasy vibe. Wasn’t a big fan of the drinks. The pricing is also a little bit on the higher side and the portions are tiny. Must try are the tiny noodles which comes with crispy chickpeas and collard greens and tastes fantastic. 2nd potato strips stir fry, never had anything like it before and it is absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back.Vegetarian options: They have a good amount of vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is clearly divided for vegetarian items.

Me and my friend had dinner at this place. We ordered two cocktails, mapo tofu, walnut shrimp, and pea shoots. Staffs were very attentive and they gave us such good recommendations. I'd go back again if I have another chance to visit DC.

The drinks, the food, the service. Everything is dialed. They understand how to create the best experience even in a limited footprint. The sober soup is a revelation.

This is probably the worst place to come to if you don’t have reservation. They would tell you that walk-ins are welcome but not really. You might end up waiting in line for 45 minutes only for them to tell you they can’t offer you any food or drinks for another 3 hours.

There were 8 selections of wine and they were out of every one. The only wine they could offer was a Muscato, how can that be?

I love this place. Their focus is spicy Asian but have good option with less heat. But let me say that they deliver on flavor and then add the heat.Numerious dishes for all the allergy and vegetarian diners.

Food was fantastic, server was great. The salt and pepper eggplant was amazing. Only reason for 4 stars is that we waited in line almost 20 minutes before a host showed up and asked if anyone had a reservation (which we did). The line was down the sidewalk. They must have been down a staff person or two because the host was also bussing tables— hopefully this isn’t how they normally run things.

If you’re gluten free/have celiac I wouldn’t recommend this place! :( They have two separate menus that say gluten free (soy ok) and gluten free (no soy). The first time I went here I asked the waiter if the gluten free (soy ok) just meant that the dishes contained soy and no gluten, they said yes. The second time I went I doubled checked and they told me that all the dishes on the soy okay menu had soy sauce with wheat in it. The dishes from the no soy menu were still very good but if you have allergies I’m not sure I would risk it since it seems like not all of the staff are familiar with allergens on the menu.

The food is good and authentic.I liked the cocktails, there were tasty and substantial and had the right amount of punch. However, the service was awful. We asked for rice for our main course and it never showed up till the second main course arrived and we reminded them again. We had to remind them to give us forks twice too. When the bill arrived, I put in 200 dollars for the 161 dollar bill. The server asked me if I needed change back. I found that a bit rude to assume that I would be tipping so much. Especially, for that horrible service.I think the attitude of the waitress really put me off.. despite the good food, I would not recommend this restaurant because of the service.

Great food in an amazing location. The restaurant is pretty smalle, but is perfectly spaced so it doesn't feel cramped. The servers are kind and attentive, giving recommendations when requested. My favorite dishes of the night were the walnut shrimp, impossible mapo tofu and the veggie delight. A lot of different meat options which was perfect as one member of party doesn't eat pork and another doesn't eat beef.Vegetarian options: The veggie triple delight was the most recommended option by every server asked and tasted absolutely incredible. Also the impossible mapo tofu was delicious

As a Chinese and a 中国美食家 chef’s granddaughter. I guess I have the absolute right to say this restaurant has good quality authentic Chinese regional dishes in DMV area. However the garlic noodles are just mediocre probably because there isn’t such a thing in Chinese cuisine. Vibes are a plus, drinks too. Been celebrating my birthday there twice in sequence.

Most overpriced and overrated Chinese food in DC. Yes the tastes are good, but do not show up with an appetite, you will leave hungry unless you are willing to empty your wallet. The portions are good for a child at best. The service was not great either, terrible wait time for food and they do not serve you the white rice as they claim unless you ask for it deliberately each time, which is obviously annoying. For these prices definitely think twice before you go, yes the flavors are good but if you want something satiating it’s the definition of a terrible deal
