Just disgusting food. And for no reason. It's really expensive and there is lots of turnover, so why was every item cold and stale?
$65 for some pizza, a burger, small pasta and some pop.
Eat before you come to the museum!

Atrium Café Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The $7 cappuccino was well worth it—much better than Starbucks! Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The chocolate croissant was fresh and delicious. A great spot for a quality coffee break!

Terrible. Zero healthy options available. Not a single vegetable in sight. $27 for a cold pulled pork sandwich with soggy extruded fries and a fountain drink. The $20 pork sandwich was a miserable white bun with a scoop of super sweet overcooked dried out pulled pork and that's it - no garnish. All of the ketchup dispensers were empty despite the restaurant being uncrowded. 2 of 3 diet coke dispensers were broken. What an embarrassing overpriced disaster. They are not even trying.

You have got to be kidding me! $125.00 for 5 people to eat undercooked, cold and soggy "food" from plastic trays? The website (at the time of this review) boasts "Butcher Craft Burgers, a seasonal Chef’s Market Table, desserts, beverages, wine/beer, and coffee," but what they don't tell you is that calling the cook a "chef" is a bit of an exaggeration. My grilled chicken sandwich was cold and tough, my son's Macaroni and Cheese was bland and cold (no flavor at all), and the rest of my family all had similar complaints about their meals. Worse still, after you get your food your forced to eat it in a dining room that looks like something straight out of a prison movie! It was disgusting! I really had much higher hopes for an establishment allowed to be inside a Smithsonian museum!

Literally the worst "cafe" I've ever seen. Bags of chips and waters, 17USD. Wobbly dirty tables.
The food here is garbage and overpriced

DO NOT EAT HERE. The food is absolutely atrocious: stale, cold and tasteless. We had "pizza" (two slices of stale cheese-covered bread stacked on top of one another) and a burger (cold, greasy burger patty on a sopping wet bun) with two drinks, which cost us an eye-watering $58. The soda fountains were broken, so that meant we could choose only between plain soda water or orange soda. The burger was so disgusting that I threw it away after one bite, fearing for food poisoning. The "pizza" was also awful, and they serve the two slices stacked on top of one another on a small dinner plate, so they all melt together into a glob of bread and cheese.
The cash registers were broken, so it was taking them 3-4 minutes per person to actually pay for your cold, disgusting food.
What an absolute RIPOFF. I went back to complain and ask for a refund and they couldn't have cared less, nor did they refund me. The Smithsonian should be ASHAMED to offer this level of service and quality of food in this world-renowned institution.

The food was honestly not that great. I had a pasta al forno or something like that. The way you get your food is confusing. And the food for the what little you get is outrageously expensive even for expensive food in DC.
