the gimmicky name does not do this place justice!! Our food came out within 10 minutes, and everything was divine. I got Mongolian beef that changed my life. My water was always full. I will be returning!!

I've grown to love their food since they moved to this location. Been here a few times. Never disappointed. Nice open dining area. Food comes out quickly. Service is good.

The bartender is rude and acts as if she doesn’t understand a word.

General Taos chicken is delicious. Sweet and sour chicken was great. The wings are crispy diner wings, not Asian fusion like you’d expect but still good. Had pan fried chicken dumplings (EXCELLENT), shrimp fried rice, and steamed shrimp dumplings. Also the drinks were strong, first time having a blueberry margarita and I highly recommend. Wish they had egg rolls and not just spring rolls. Atmosphere could be better, maybe try dimming the lights? But pretty no-nonsense and straight forward overall including decent service. Def will be adding this to the rotation

Mando service fee for bullshit service and sad “fusion” food. Their siracha was lass spicy than ketchup. Never again.

Good food portions but always really salty. Service is absent, especially if you are sitting outside; had to hunt the waiter down to order food, and had to find him to close the tab. They dont have an incentive for good service because they charge a mandatory 20% tip.

They requested tips after charging a mandatory 20% service fee. The Mongolian beef tastes good, but the rice is below average, and the braised beef noodles are excessively salty. It's not worth the price, sorry.

BaseBowl was once a fantastic location for ramen, now a completely mixed bag where you can get really good ramen one day, absolute trash another. Tonight I went with my fiancé after letting her know things were getting better at the restaurant. When we got our food tonight, we had the displeasure of her miso vegetable ramen having no seasoning, sloppily put in a bowl with barely any vegetables. When I got my chicken ramen, similar to my fiancé, the bowl was sparse of vegetables to say the least. My broth in particular tasted similar to when BaseBowl was just a Japanese restaurant, but there was barely any heat or flavor in the broth. When we got home, we felt like we had wasted our money and my fiancé said she never wants to go to the restaurant ever again. Such a fall from grace from one of DC’s best ramen spots now turned mediocre fusion restaurant.

Great experience! The service was fast and friendly. The Chinese food was delicious and the drinks were really good too. Judy makes really good drinks, and Denny was great too— super helpful and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

This is hands down my favorite spot in Navy Yard! The vibe is always just right, the drinks are top tier, and the bartender- Judy? The absolute best—super friendly, knows their stuff, and always makes you feel welcome. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed!

The service was great, very kind and attentive. We did come for the soup dumplings which ended up being a bit underwhelming…not really any “soup” just meat. If we had know we probably would have gone somewhere else.

On vacation and stopped by since my family likes ramen. Ramen was below average. My daughter got Monoglian beef which was amazing, and the service for us was good. Bill was 77 dollars for people, but add mandatory 20 percent tip (it mentions on the menu) and then taxes and some other local fees, bill came up to 102 dollars. Not worth the price sorry
