Good breakfast if attending meetings at the RR building.

I come to Washington twice a year and the group eats one evening meal here. Unfortunetly this palce never has any food when we arrive at 5pm.

So... Bassett's... I was in the Reagan building sight seeing (I know... weird...) We had seen signs for an "International Food Court" so wanted to see what was available... the signs were somewhat misleading, but the walk around the building was at least a bit interesting. We did find the food court, but I would not call it all that international. More like "mall food court". It was breakfast time, and my mom and sister looked at all of the places in the court except for Bassett's for some reason, thinking it wasn't what they were looking for. I did, however, and since it was breakfast time I was overjoyed to see that they had corned beef hash. That settled it for me! That was where I was going, regardless of what they wanted! I went with an egg and bacon sandwich and a side of hash. I should have just gone with the hash and a couple of eggs in retrospect. The sandwich was good, mind you... but I would have been happier with just the protein. My sister went with an egg sandwich, and both tried my hash though it is really not something to their tastes. No problem... just meant more for me! For breakfast, I was quite happy with how things turned out from Bassett's. Would certainly go back!

I've visited Bassett's for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was hearty, fresh, and priced right. At lunch time the sandwiches were piled high, not sure if that's good or bad, but you get your money's worth. Their Chicken Noodle Soup is great on a cold/sick day. The staff was very polite, cashier/owner was a bit surly, but not rude. I'd stop in again when I'm really hungry.

One of the only places open before 7:00!

Honestly, I didn't love this restaurant much. My review is going to be brief-ish because I really don't have much to say. It was dinner time on a Tuesday, and I was at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center. The food court was as bleak as they come-Sbarro, hamburgers, reheated Indian food. Bassett's Original Turkey really caught my eye because it claimed to have fresh turkey dinner. I went to the place to investigate. As it turned out, they were out of Thanksgiving-style turkey. The only kind of turkey left in the restaurant was for sandwiches. Unfortunately, I decided to order a carved turkey sandwich on a Kaiser roll. I was on a tour with school, and we had limited time at the food court, so I could not back out. When my sandwich was ready, I took it back to my seat where my friends were waiting. The sandwich, overall, was not great. The turkey was dry and bland. The lettuce and tomato were fine. Being from California, I know there's better produce out there. The mayonnaise helped make the sandwich not as dry. If I come to this food court again, I don't think I will eat here again.

Best bacon in the Reagan Building. Unless you like soggy chewy bacon (aka rubber bacon), get your breakfast sandwich here!

The Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwich was only average.
