Most of our dishes were fantastic but the duck dish wasn’t a good as the others. The service was amazing and everything else was great.

Always wonderful- love the service and the begs and seafood and, of course, delirium tremens
Everything was outstanding - from the appetizer to the dessert. I had the Brie stuffed with truffles and mascarpone, the braised pork belly and the rice tart. It was my birthday so they served me some sparkling wine, too. Service was excellent. So glad to have this gem in my neighborhood.
Belga is a jewel in the heart of DC. One of our favorite places and our go-to spot for special dinners for more than 15 years now. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Food and service were both exquisite. On a cold January day we particularly appreciated the mulled wine and warm calvados cocktail.
Belga Cafe is a "neighborhood gem" and our go-to restaurant for just about anything. This occasion was New Year's Eve, and in addition to the wonderful everyday dinner menu, Chef Bart had some specials including a foie gras appetizer trio and a pheasant entree. Always a delightful experience, and authentically Belgian!
For many years the best restaurant on Capitol Hill, and among the best in the City. The food is exquisite. The ambiance is intimate and the staff super and abundant.
Great neighborhood restaurant which has gone upscale in their food offerings. If you want a Belgian mussel bar this is your place. Opt for the bar seats or outdoor tables if you are looking for a light option.
I hadn't been here in several years and while the mussels and fries were good, I miss the days when they had the option of getting them with garlic, cream, and butter (and many other options as well). The fries weren't as good as I had remembered. And I was disappointed to see that they no longer had the Belgian waffle for desert with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. The ambiance was great though- loved the French bistro music.
We've eaten at Belga's multiple times - always great food and service. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed everything I've had to eat at Belga cafe, such as, the beef stew, truffle ravioli, venison rack, etc. Additionally, the service is impeccable. Our server, Camila, was always very attentive and had good recommendations. I will definitely return.
This place used to be the best spot on 8th, but everything has changed. For the price, what you get is a complete rip-off — you’re much better off going somewhere else that’s actually worth paying for .
Most of the menu is based around pork, and the other options are just very bad EXCEPT STEAK TARTARE bc that is just WOOW. The waffle with dinner makes no sense and super dry like its left over from brunch lol, the burger is terrible, just go get it from Mc Donalt’s lol, and the desserts are tasty and tiny. The new chefs do a horrible job with the food.
The service is friendly, but very unorganized. Orders get messed up constantly, which isn’t acceptable — especially when there are only about three tables in the restaurant with 3 servers lol. On top of that, it shouldn’t take an hour to cook a burger.
Overall, this place has gone downhill and really needs to fix a lot of things.
Needs a new management

Interesting, imaginative menu and wonderful service. Our food was fantastic -the fresh tagliatelle pasta with lump crab, meyer lemon and garlic chive butter was superb! And the Belgian beef stew and frites also highly recommended. I need to come back soon for the gin and tonic oysters.
