VICTOR the waiter harassed, cursed us out and aggressively removed our personal and expensive belonging's, throwing them onto the ground. He referred to us as 'non-paying' customers despite leaving a tip for over $80. We were sober and waiting for our sister while she was inside using the bathroom. We've been here a few times before and did not receive this kind of treatment. The treatment by VICTOR was terrible and his behaviour was unfortunateLu barely rectified By management. This experience soured the entire night and I would not recommend having Victor as the waiter.

This restaurant's target demographic is brunch-goers who like to party. We visited on a Saturday at 4:30 for dinner, so the brunch crowd was wrapping up. It was loud and crowded. I could barely hear others at my table over the music. The drinks were delicious. Again, for brunchers... It was happy hour so the appetizer portions were small. I guess they slash the portions along with the prices during happy hour now, so it's more like you're getting small bites instead of a deal. We ordered the wings in mambo sauce and crab deviled eggs. I was so turned off by how average the appetizers tasted that I opted out of an entree. Others in my party tried the fried catfish fingers, Mexican street corn, green beans, and braised kale. Everything ranged from terrible to subpar to mediocre. I would return here for drinks; otherwise, I'll stick with the iconic Ben's Chili (next door).

Dined here with some friends who were visiting from out of town. Highly recommend Ben’s Next Door! The food was amazing and the attentive staff kept the drinks flowing. The fried catfish fingers were perfectly cooked and breaded. The dry rub wings had a lot of flavor. The mashed potatoes were super cheesy.

Very small space for seating. Even with a reservation. The food was really good and the waitresses were polite as well. I got the salmon and grits and they didn't disappoint. I do not recommend the chicken sausage. It wasn't very good and was very chewy. I would definitely go back. Price for bottomless brunch wasn't bad either. My food was $50 and I tipped $30. Worth the money, can't wait to go back.

We know Virginia Ali personally though our belated best friend and I saw an ad for their Valentine's Day Prix Faire special on Facebook so I decided to take my wife there that day for dinner. Compared to their original restaurant next door, Ben's Chili Bowl, this is a sit down and bar and lounge serving mostly chicken and seafood as well as a bunch of alcoholic drinks. The restaurant is a long bar with high top tables in the back, one that we reserved and a chic color changing lights decor. We started with the a frozen Mango Daiquiri and a frozen Margarita to drink on the happy hour menu and later got the Hennessy Sangria and a Blackberry Mojito as part of the Valentine's Day special. All of the cocktails were among the best we ever had. For our appetizers we got the Bone In and Boneless Wings, for our entrees the Chicken + Waffle and Jerk Penne Pasta with Jerk Chicken, and for dessert Virginia's Banana Pudding, and Bourbon. The servers, waiters, and waitresses are amazing and very attentive, and even asked us if we needed anything when we just looked at the TVs so it shows they go above and beyond. They also have a wonderful rewards program you can save $5 the first time just by signing up. We look forward to returning and would love to try brunch here.

I went to this location cause I thought it was and extension of Ben. I thought you couldn’t dine in at Bens you would have to go next door at Ben’s Next Door to dine in . I ordered my food at 5pm. However, because I was seated at 4:50pm which I was told. I was charged a surcharge of 10.18 because brunch was not over till 5 and there is a surcharge for the brunch time slot. I did not come for brunch and there was no brunch food. I was very upset about the surcharge. So after eating, I felt this your tip. The food was mediocre by any means. The jerk salmon slider was good at 8 dollars and the fried chicken sandwich was overpriced at almost 20.00. The food at Ben;s was better than Next Door. (picture of chili hamburger is from Bens)

I am extremely disappointed. I was told this was a great place to be. It was for a good time. However, things turned sour fast. Gianna was a terrible waitress who would tell us the wait times for service and as service workers we accepted her apologies for drink and food wait times. That is entirely respectable. We were told we could not play "happy birthday" for our friend. Yet, there was a woman with her phone that was clearly a customer connected to the outlet at the end of the bar playing music. The worst part, which has all of us who went to "Ben's Next Door" is the bill. We understood that we could not pay on separate checks. The issue that is the most concerning is when our check was printed (before 9PM) was not run by our server Gianna until after 9PM. This incurred a 20% mandatory gratuity fee-- a tip we had already agreed on prior to being mandated to pay it. This is an egregious and manipulative maneuver of the staff, particularly Gianna, to earn money that may not have been deserved. I will not return.

Be sure not to be a minute over your brunch seating limit. They will call the cops. After we had questions about the brunch "rules" since they were never explained and the service staff was not attentive after our food was served, the manager rudely and dismissively said we had 7 minutes. One of us was waiting for the bathroom. While waiting, 2 police officers showed up to escort us out. The music was so loud I had to scream to talk to anyone. There was no reason at all for the escalation of violence. There is no reason a Black owned business should weaponize the police on women of color while they are trying to take turns using the, albeit disgusting, restroom before leaving. I do not wish this experience on anyone. #BlackLivesMatter
