Very tasty food, close to national mall. Chef takes care of customers personally. We had great conversation during our visit.
Lively place for best touch of indian flavours in Washington DC,
We tried bombay veg burger with gun Powder fries 9/10,
Vegan Bowl 8/10 and veg biryani 9/10
The Chef Mr. Ajay himself suggested the best dishes that were perfect for a scrumptious lunch, to end our meal the show stopper masala tea.
Amigos made indian food.
Very good Indian taste to all its menu. Must try vadapav with gunpowder fries, chicken tikka bowl and gulab jamun with rabari
We had a very good experience. Chef Ajay Ramola accommodated my toddlers food requirements with ease. Quality and taste of the food was excellent.
Disappointing Interpretation of Indian Cuisine — Falls Short on Flavor and Authenticity
Having experienced some of the finest Indian cuisine in the UK, I approached Bindaas Bowls & Rolls with cautious optimism. Indian food in the U.S., in my experience, often lacks the depth, richness, and authenticity one becomes accustomed to in cities like London — and unfortunately, this spot did little to challenge that perception.
The restaurant presents itself as a vibrant, modern take on Indian classics, but what arrived on my plate felt more like a shortcut version of tradition. I ordered the lamb curry, expecting tender, flavorful cuts of lamb, but instead was served meatballs — essentially kofta — made from minced meat. Not only was this substitution undisclosed, it significantly altered both the texture and integrity of the dish.
While the idea of using meatballs may not be inherently wrong, there was no transparency, nor was there a price point that justified this lower-cost approach. The dish lacked both the richness and nuance typically associated with Indian curries. The spices felt muted, the sauce underwhelming, and the overall flavor profile disappointingly flat.
In fairness, this establishment may align with the average U.S. standard for Indian fast-casual dining — but for anyone who has experienced the real thing, particularly in the UK, it simply doesn’t measure up.
If you’re new to Indian cuisine, this may serve as an accessible introduction. But for those with a more refined palate or a genuine appreciation for traditional Indian cooking, Bindaas leaves much to be desired.
the food: to die for, the service: absolutely lovely. clean interior, wonderful atmosphere, and an all around wonderful experience. would rate higher if i could!
In between lunch and dinner. No wait but plenty of customers. Amazing food! Fantastic service.
The lamb roast kathi roll was terrific! The flavor was intense and delicious. The rothi wrap itself was ok but it served its purpose as a grab and go vessel for the treat inside. My wife enjoyed her chicken Tikka masala.
Highly recommend this place if you’re at the national mall and looking for something quick and well priced! The chicken curry puffs, paneer korma, and samosas are all great. Very fast service as well. If you’re with a big party you might have trouble finding seating as they don’t have very many tables so it would fill up quick if busy.

Restaurantji Recommends
Food is nothing like pictured on the website. Website quotes price of $13.75, restaurant charges $14.75. Then the salmon was soft almost mushy.
