Really fun and cool venue with great ticket prices, but I have some constructive feedback:
The bar sells alcohol in glass bottles and cups. There was a mosh pit at the show I attended. Inevitably a few idiots went into the mosh pit with open glass containers of beer. This feels unsafe and is completely avoidable.
There was a cable cover (tripping hazard) directly where the pit naturally opens up.
The website says during the winter months they do a coat check, though today (34 degrees F) they did not, so I had to sweat all over my north face jacket during the show. Not cool.
Overall I had a good experience, but I hope management takes my feedback into consideration for the future.

Always a great place to see a show. Large floor for standing and a long bar in one side with stools and some tables in a recessed area in the other side. There is a small room with another bar but has no view of the stage.

Such a cool experience. As an old rocker from the west coast.... seeing a show at the famous Black Cat in DC was a bucket list. Also. DC people rock. I wish I could have seen every show that was on the schedule that week. Epic bands!

I took my 15 year old son here to see his first show. The staff were exceptionally professional and very good natured. Very chill without and of the too cool crap that one generally experiences and venues. Security was consistent and low key. Bartenders were all quick to respond and friendly. Empties were continuously collected. The sound system was terrific. Definitely one of the premier places to see a show. They run a completely top notch establishment.

Great concert venue, super intimate and hype! Saw Bandalos Chinos and it was amazing, great sound system and vibe!!
