Black Salt is a true neighborhood gem. I work nearby and having been dining there for over 20 years. After all this time, I still consider every visit to be a special event whether it is for lunch, happy hour or dinner. The menu is fantastic. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The service is always impeccable. And I am always made to feel welcomed and appreciated. I will be back again soon.

Food was too salty. Waiter never asked why we had 50% of our food remaining when he coated the te. 500.00 meal was a scam. Too bad we used to luv it. Too pricy for what it is

Disappointed because 2 of the specials on the menu had run out by the time we ordered. We had a 7:30 reservation so I don't expect them to run out of certain things that early.

Offensive interaction with one of the managers. Also, the service was not the best. The waiter failed to inquire about allergies and I chose a dish which had an ingredient (not listed on the menu) to which I am allergic. When returning the dish, the manager was brusque and irritated. My dinner companion and myself were shocked and offended. Quite inappropriate behavior for management of wait staff.

The food quality is very good at Black Salt. There were at least 5 items not listed on the regular menu which were also available for dinner. We liked the fact that several choices were seasonal in nature- which allowed those items to be available.
