Kotobuki Reviews
Tried the sushi here and ordered a few specialty rolls. One had a nice citrus flavor, another had crispy onions on top, and the spicy tuna roll brought some heat. I liked that each roll had a completely different combination, which made the meal fun to try
My favorite sushi spot in DC. The sushi is exceptionally fresh. A no frills atmosphere, but cozy, with lovely people.
As good as it gets traditional family owned and served japanese neighborhood restaurant

Kotobuki is a small, cozy sushi restaurant with a no-frills atmosphere that focuses on fresh fish. The interior is cute, and the service is fast and friendly. The Toro Sashimi is highly recommended, letting the quality of the product speak for itself. The Chirashi Deluxe offers a variety of fish, with favorites including toro, crab stick, and white tuna. The kamameshi is flavorful and comes with four tasty side dishes that complement the meal nicely. While some dishes like the Eel and Avocado Roll are basic, others like the CA uni are described as yummy and fresh. The staff is warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. The dining area is small but a solid spot for a casual Japanese meal. This place is a true hidden gem and the best sushi in DC, with servers who have been working there for years. Despite slightly higher prices, the fresh seafood and good experience make it a place worth returning to.
