spent a great evening with family playing games and enjoying a nice cold beer while visiting family. First time but will come back next time I am in town.

This place is amazing if you're looking for a place to hangout with friends and play board games. They even allow you to bring outside food which is a huge plus point.

Fun place to have a beer and talk. Almost no one was on their phone everyone was playing games. It was really fun.

I have been a long-time fan of Board Room, since moving to DC a few years ago. It’s always been so welcoming and a joy to be in and I wanted to share a recent incredible experience. At short notice, Beth and her team were able to accommodate my group of 15 people when the weather for our day out looked pretty bad. Not only was Beth so welcoming and understanding, being able to reserve a space for us to hang out, play games and bring our prepared food, but both her and the team were so kind throughout our extensive time there in ensuring we were hydrated and comfortable. Board Room is a special place in DC, that I am proud to be a supporter and fan of. If you are a board game fan or just a fan of having a good time with friends, family and loved ones, I can’t recommend it enough!

Spiked lemonades and Rumikube! I loved this bar and board games combo. If you’ve got a hankering for boozy spike lemonades and a wall of games to pick from; come on down. This was a lot of fun for a Saturday afternoon!

My partner and I stopped in for a board game and the bouncer (Chris) was abusive. She asked Chris what the rules to play a game were and Chris pointed at a sign and then ignored her when she said 'I don't have my glasses, I can't read that'. I told Chris that she doesn't have her glasses and couldn't read the sign and Chris became belligerent saying "My job is to check ID's".

I asked Chris who is supervisor is and he told me "Beth" and then aggressively followed us out of the business onto the sidewalk trying to intimidate both of us. I would love it if Beth, or any other owner of Board Room, reached out to me.

Great atmosphere, fun times playing cards. We were a group of 10 and there was no problem using the tables upstairs.
Very friendly service.

A large pub with shelves of free-to-use board games, card games, etc.
The beers are a rotating set of local and US brewers with some usual favourites available (yay for the Rogue Deadguy!).

We booked a space for 30 people on a Tuesday night. The staff were awesome, ensuring everything was ready, and Beth was super welcoming on the night we arrived.

The nearby pizza joint does good pizzas, and the Boardroom are happy if you order and bring them in to eat. Just don't get cheese on the games!

10/10, would board-game there again :)
