About The Golden Age

The Golden Age is a cozy bar with a speakeasy atmosphere, featuring dimmed lights, candles, and a friendly crowd. The bar offers a variety of interesting cocktails, such as the Daiquiri No. 5, which tastes like a Capri Sun, and the Paper Plane. The cocktails are expertly crafted and delicious. The bartenders are fun and entertaining, adding to the lively atmosphere. Their food menu includes lamb kebabs, hummus, and charcuterie, all of which received positive feedback. The double cheeseburger is by far the best burger, served with kettle chips. The place is a perfect date night spot with a charming and inviting atmosphere, sometimes featuring live music. The service is amazing and outstanding, making guests feel like they are among friends and family. Located in DuPont, it is a local gem, offering great cocktails, delicious food, and a nice ambiance for a relaxing evening. The prices are very reasonable. Overall, The Golden Age combines great drinks, tasty food, and a charming ambiance, making it one of the best places in DC to enjoy a relaxed evening.

I went for a Comedy show and it was pretty good. There weren't many seats and it was a pretty small space but it wasn't bad at all and it all worked out just fine. Parking was pretty difficult to find as well.
I had one of the best burgers of my life here. And a pretty good drink, too. Service was great, as well. Not really a complaint, but it was nearing sunset and was very dark, so I had to use the candle on the table to read the menu, since I'm of a certain age. I suppose that actually added to the ambience, though. I'm glad we happened upon it as we left our hotel looking for a spot for dinner.
Love this place! I’ve visited several times. Very low key vibes. The beverages and food are very good. There is street parking all over, depending on what day and time you visit. Very underrated and highly recommend.
