Boqueria Penn Quarter is a renowned restaurant celebrated for its delectable cuisine and excellent service. The brunch feast is a highlight for many, with customers praising the staff for making special occasions memorable. The happy hour menu offers a variety of tasty and affordable options, with churros being a standout dessert. Customers have enjoyed the chef's choice selections, which include Jamon iberico, pan con tomate, machengo cheese, croquetas, meatballs, octopus, seafood paella, and churros. The bartenders are recognized for their attentiveness and eagerness to engage with customers. The restaurant is described as hip and casual, yet elegant, with beautiful decor and flower decoration at the entrance. The staff are noted for their attentiveness and friendliness.
Customers have praised the authenticity and creativity of the tapas, such as the perfectly crispy patata bravas, fresh gambas with rich garlic sauce, thinly sliced smoked chorizo, churros with three types of dipping sauces, bikini sandwich, roast chicken with salsa verde, and jamon croquettes. Guests have also enjoyed the veggie tapas, skirt steak, and albondigas (meatballs). However, some found the octopus poorly cooked and the paella a bit salty. Overall, Boqueria Penn Quarter remains a place where guests can enjoy great food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere, with fast service and wonderful staff, making it a go-to dining spot in DC.
