About Luna Hall DC

Luna Hall DC in Chinatown Washington DC offers a variety of delicious foods from stalls like Dumpling District. The Rainbow Soup Dumplings with 6 different flavours are a must-try, including Pork, Crab Meat, Shrimp & Zucchini, Chicken, Mala, and Black Truffle. Guests can also enjoy a satisfying chicken soup dumpling. The menu features seafood stir fry, and there are fun drinks available at the Luna Bar. The atmosphere is chill, with cute seating and a cafeteria hall style. The guard at the door is friendly and helpful, making it a welcoming spot. While some food options may be a bit average, there are enjoyable choices like chicken fingers and desserts from Tous le Jours bakery, which is known for their ube donuts baby choux. The dumplings are highly praised for their perfect dough texture and rich flavor, especially the crab ones. The place feels more like a grab-and-go food hall, similar to mall food courts from the 80s and 90s, with a casual vibe. The upkeep of the space isn't the best, so it’s not ideal for a full dining experience, but the dumplings and pastries keep visitors coming back. The staff, including the friendly security guard, make guests feel at home, often encouraging them to try different dishes and return for dessert. Overall, Luna Hall DC is a great spot to relax, enjoy tasty dumplings, and indulge in sweet treats, with the promise of returning for ramen and more.

Nice options like a food court close to the convention center. Decent service but had to wait awhile before people notice you are here. Food was served fast and tasted good!
Pineapple slushie 😋
Atmosphere was really fun. Did resemble a neon lit karaoke bar. A few food options which was nice. Although very over priced and the quality did not taste fresh and authentic. I love the idea of a flavor journey so I ordered the rainbow soup dumplings. Really cute looking. Not great tasting. All tasted the same, dumpling wrapper was dense and chewy. (Possibly mass produced, pre frozen?) Not like it's supposed to be. I'd rather spend more money for authentic quality. I wouldn't...read full review
