I went to Buddy's for the first time this weekend on a sunday and it was a great time! The food was 10 out of 10 - we got jerk wings, potato hash with poached eggs, avocado toast, ribs and their special fried catfish. Everything tasted amazing, great seasoning and great service. The vibes were chill and low key (sunday afternoon brunch) they had a great playlist of music. I will definitely be going back and recommend checking it out!

The food was delicious, and the drinks were perfectly balanced, but the service left much to be desired. Chris, the wait staff, who was delivering food and drinks, came across as extremely impersonal, which made him seem rude. He was not friendly and, when asked a question, responded in a short and dismissive manner.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Zero ambience, bad food, mediocre drinks. On top of that the police is there every night. Pretty uncomfortable. Must be the most hated bar in the neighborhood.

I can say is try the crab nachos it will change your life! Also the short rib burger is phenomenal. Great! Wednesday night wine specials and the service is on point and friendly. Great for locals and for guests in the Columbia heights area. Wonderful event space as well.

My 20th wedding anniversary celebration at Buddy’s DC this past Saturday was everything I wanted it to be! Right in line with our “Marriage Madness” theme, we watched March Madness games, played more games, enjoyed yummy food catered by Buddy’s and enjoyed a beautiful day with family and friends! Our guests couldn’t say enough about how good the Old Bay wings, macaroni and cheese, and blackened catfish bites were! Thank you, Grant, Carly and the team at Buddy’s DC! We had a ball! Can’t wait to return!
