What a beautiful place. The rooms are well appointed and the hotel is in a fantastic location. The staff were attentive and Garnett Coad took really good care of us while we were there.

I hosted my wedding reception at Riggs in October and was absolutely floored by the level of service, kindness, and professionalism of everyone. The valet employees were exceptional - especially Coach. They went above and beyond for us and all of our guests to make such a smooth transition anytime we came in or exited the hotel. I also had the pleasure of working with Karen & Brittany on the event side and cannot say enough good things! Karen started our journey into wedding planning and Brittany absolutely crushed handling the rest and it was so appreciated! Brittany was so down to earth and she put my Type A mind at ease that she had it all under control at all times and it was life saving! Not only was the staff amazing but the hotel is stunning, cafe riggs has the best cocktails and overall we couldn't have asked for anything more. We still get comments about how insane our wedding dinner and desserts/cake were. Truly couldn't recommend Riggs more for your wedding or any special occasion! We can't wait to celebrate our anniversary here in the coming year just to relive the day and exceptional service!

I stayed at Riggs last Christmas time and had the best experience! The doorman was so helpful, kind, and personable. And Charlotte at check-in couldn't have been nicer! She answered all of our questions and gave great suggestions for things to do.

Washington is not a place where we normally spend our vacation but the Riggs made it worthwhile. Great location, beautiful public spaces, attentive service, and well maintained room that had all the amenities we needed. The restaurant has great food and coffee and we appreciated it being open on Christmas. Everyone was so friendly-doormen, housekeeping, servers at restaurant, and reception. Highly recommend.

Came here to inquire about possibly hosting a wedding here. Coordinator was not available and we messaged and called them days before and never heard back. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a luxury feel. It’s in a good location too but the service was not very great if you plan to have wedding here. They are NOT responsive and cooperative so we are looking elsewhere

The service was great. But this is objectively not a 5 star hotel. I would consider it a 3 star based on my experience with 2 rooms. Maybe it was because we stayed in a standard room? But the first issue was the very strange fart smell which we walked past while walking to our first room on the 4th floor. Then inside the room, I was unable to fit through the gap between the door and the toilet to enter the toilet/shower room. They were very accommodating and were able to switch us to a room where the door did not swing and hit the toilet. At this point I was too embarrassed to call and complain again, but the fart smell from issue #1 was present in our new room on the 5th floor, the fart smell comes from the bedding. I am very sensitive to smells, dust, and pollutants in the air and I had difficulty breathing in this room. I looked forward to leaving this 5 star hotel and going back home. On a positive note, apparently the water pressure in the shower is great.

We loved our stay at the Riggs Hotel! Check-in was super easy, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the location could not be better — we were right next to the Christmas market which was so fun. We used their cribs and the room had plenty of space for our two little ones, which made everything so much easier. Room service and breakfast were delicious. Overall just such a great vibe. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in DC!
