Stayed across the street at the Fairfield, and had a late dinner take-out our first night. So good we ate there 2 more times during our five day stay. Absolutely the best Thai I've had in years. Good menu selection, great flavors. Only down side is limited seating.

I learned about this tiny gem of a Thai restaurant when returning to DC on a business trip and staying nearby. I wish I'd known about Royal Thai when I lived in the capital! It's an unassuming presence on H Street and easy to walk by: the interior is intimate, about a dozen tables and a bar. The menu is classic Thai; the key is implementation and very reasonable prices.
