Was taken there for my birthday. My cocktail was superb and some of the best samosas I've had. They weren't too oily and mostly flaky and crispy. For Dinner, thw wife had Chicken Tikka Masala which tasted amazing and the chicken was very tender. It tasted "simple" and I do mean that in the nicest way considering I've had this dish at other restaurants and the flavors and spices are too overpowing. I had the Miz tandoori platter with a delicious lamb and chicken tikka. As good as they were, the star of the dish is the salmon. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Many restaurants don't get salmon right and it's usually overcooked and to my delight that was not the case here. Accompanied by the basket of naan that includes regular, onion, and garlic flavors and rice were a great combination. Raj and his staff deliver high quality of service and friendliness to the customer to go along with the delectable cuisine. Bravo Raj, bravo. I Can't wait to go back

This place is amazing. The food is so authentic. The tandoori salmon is perfectly cooked, tikka masala was delicious and so cremy. The service is 5 star. Raj makes you feel like you are his family member. He brought out dessert for a birthday celebration. Would drive 45 minutes to eat here anytime.

Very nice and attentive employees, amazing food, really nice ambience. The samosas were delicious and the sauces that came with them were as well. Amazing naan, amazing aloo palak, I'll definitely be visiting again! Would definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian, I can definitely say that there were many great options here! There was a whole vegan section as well which had plenty more!

Celebrated a birthday last night with 10 of us at Cafe of India. Everything was outstanding! My wife started with a Mangotini cocktail which she loved. The appetizers were delicious. We ordered a big variety of main dishes for the table to share. Each dish was exceptional. We will be back for sure. I would highly recommend Cafe of India without hesitation!

Every dish is delicious! We had lamb chops, shrimp curry, chicken tikka, tadka daal, eggplant. We had a mixed group of carnivore, gluten free, vegan diners, and we were all very satisfied. Staff are attentive and lovely. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Lots of yummy vegetarian and vegan options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options that don’t limit carnivore options.

We came here to celebrate my son's 18th birthday and it was such a wonderful experience. The food is so good -- there's a little something for everyone. Plenty of vegan & gluten free options, which was perfect for our group's different dietary needs. The servers were knowledgable & kind. We'll definitely be back!

This restaurant reminds me of home. It is quality staff, peaceful ambience, and excellent food. Highly recommend the Mattar Paneer Tiki for an appetizer and the Bhaingan Bartha for an entree. The Halwa for dessert was first class. I will be back for sure. The main host Raj went above and beyond — he was warm, friendly, professional, funny, and enthusiastic.

Food is fair. Service is - well, there are no "minus stars" so that means that service is indifferent, aloof and waiter prefers playing with his phone, gets food orders wrong and the wait for entrees after our arrival (at a restaurant that was empty for an hour) was 1.15 hours. We ordered identical chicken curry dishes but somehow the waiter forgot one entree - then we waited another 25 minutes for the missing dish to appear. Go to other Indian places in DC - Bombay Club is wonderful. 12/29/23
