Arbitrarily closed early whenever staff feels like it!
Prompt service, great baked goods and espresso. Enjoyed the ambiance.

I had the seasonal orange cafe latte and it was delicious. It had the right balance of sweetness and rich espresso, finished with fresh orange zest. I am so glad to find this place! Service is also great.

I love the atmosphere of this place. When you enter La Cosecha, you’re welcomed by a variety of restaurants and small local businesses — it feels vibrant and creative.
But I’m focusing on Café Unido, because this coffee comes from my home country, Panama. So every time I’m in Washington, I have to stop by.
The space is filled with beautiful natural light coming through the large windows facing the street — perfect for enjoying a slow moment with a cup of coffee. The aroma and flavor are exactly what I expect from good Panamanian coffee: rich, smooth, and full of character.
I believe they could take even more advantage of how special it is to have a Panamanian coffee franchise in Washington — it deserves to be highlighted and promoted more. I truly hope they open more locations around the city so more people can experience it.
I tried the Caramel Latte, and it was delicious. If you like my pictures, give a follow on IG: @framinizingdiary

I visited this cafe specifically for their Ninety Plus Geisha coffee, which I had previously and found to be exceptional, it was truly a memorable experience. As a DC local who’s willing to travel for a worthwhile cup, I made the trip again with high expectations. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. When I arrived, there was only one staff member on duty, unlike my last visit when two baristas were present. She appeared to be engaged in a personal conversation, and I had to interrupt to ask if I could place an order, which made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a welcomed guest. I ordered the Ninety Plus Geisha again and was told it would take 10 to 15 minutes to prepare, which I was happy to wait for. I used the time to step out and pick up a pastry from a nearby bakery. When I returned, the cafe had become quite busy, so I waited patiently for my drink. After a few other guests were served, I was called over only to be informed that the coffee I ordered was not available. I explained that I had made a special trip just for this coffee, but the response I received was indifferent at best. I was simply told I'd receive a refund and could order something else. Frustrated and short on time, I opted for a cortado instead, which unfortunately was overly bitter and not enjoyable. Before leaving, I was told the issue stemmed from the previous team failing to restock the coffee or notify the morning shift of its unavailability. While I understand that mistakes happen, the lack of accountability and customer care was disappointing. In short, the pour over I had on my previous visit was excellent, but the espresso drinks leave much to be desired. It’s also concerning that there’s no way to call ahead to confirm product availability at the Union Market location. I hope this feedback is helpful and encourages more consistent service and communication moving forward.

I went to Cafe UNIDO at Union market - the baristas were very nice but the coffee was meh. My latte was very weak and it was not hot. Kind of disappointed.

Disappointed by the experience at Café Unido. We waited well over 20 minutes for a coffee, only to be told by the barista that he was on his lunch break. While we absolutely respect the need for breaks, it would be helpful if this was reflected on Google or posted somewhere clearly—especially since the café appeared open. He even got up to give ice to someone working at another kiosk when asked, so it wasn’t that he couldn’t move. It just felt like customers weren’t a priority.
In the meantime, at least three other customers came and left, including us. What made it more frustrating was that the barista wasn’t even eating—just sitting and chatting with a friend. If you’re closed or on break, let people know. Otherwise, it feels like customers’ time isn’t being valued.

It’s hard to find great baristas with a chill and welcoming vibe! They are consistent every time and have great vibes!

I went in on 4th of July for the first time and tried an iced la banda (lavender) cappuccino at the awesome Robin's suggestion. It was creamy and perfect for the summer day, and Robin was so kind! I took my friend back the next day and we got an iced cortado, an iced orange despadura, and an iced.. vanilla latte! Yeah. Another customer suggested adding mocha to the orange, and it was HEAVENLY. I was skeptical of orange in coffee, but no, I was wrong! There's a reason why the despadura is the most popular drink! The other baristas are equally nice, and I just like the vibe there in general. We found a nice place to sit outside. I think the only suggestion I'd give is to make the coffee display in the center of the shop a bit smaller so people can get around it more easily. Unido is so cool. ☕️🌸

A solid coffee shop. My hot latte was a bit odd, but another iced was done very well.

Drink quality is never consistent. When I decide to risk it here, it might be really good, or something that's 1/3 foam and tastes like steamed milk. Not sure how long I'll keep trying. They offer interesting flavors and the atmosphere is nice, but none of that matters when the coffee is that off. If it's 8+ dollars for a drink it better be damn good. My advice is taste first, tip after with cash

Coffee is ok, not too tasty but not bad either
Nice location and customer service is good
Popped in for a quick drink and snack with my friend. Had a very nice vibe. I got an ice orange raspuado latte with oat milk and some vegan empanadas. We really liked the drink and the empanadas. Delicious!
