I wanted to love this place based on the reviews but it was one of the worst turkey subs I've ever had. It was cheap pressed turkey slathered with too much mayo (and I'm a girl who loves some extra mayo.) I was so disappointed this place didn't live up to the hype.The floors were filthy and all the boxes stacked everywhere left me feeling like cleanliness was an afterthought and not a priority.Everyone was welcoming and the folks there were very nice but the food quality on this day was well below what one should expect.

Anyone and everyone around DC, if asked where to get the best sub sandwich, will suggest a sub from here. It's the "Go To" spot. Only makes subs and has been doing this for years. Very nice selection to choose from and fast service. Lunchtime is always the busiest time to visit but they keep it moving. Hard not to give it 5 stars. Number 9 is my favorite!

I've been eating at Carl's Subs for over 30 years. They don't do a lot but what they do they do right. That's cold cuts subs. Definitely worth the stop.
Just stopped by this spot today for the first time and will definitely be coming back! Everyone inside is so friendly, and the subs are phenomenal!

Sandwich’s we’re wrong. When we first walked in there was greated with disrespect. We said ok it’s alright we will try again and then boom we come all the way back home and the sandwiches were wrong . DO NOT GO THERE WORST SANDWICH PLACE EVER!!!!

Was craving me an Italian and been wanting to try this place for a while. Run don’t walk here! Delicious food at a reasonable price (cash only). The owner is from Philly so you know it’s legit! Friendly staff and fast and efficient service. Will most definitely be back to support this black owned business.
