Our favorite Italian restaurant in DC! The best food and the friendliest staff. Don't miss the spicy ragu, penne vodka, and chicken parm!
Such a great experience. Our waiter Pedro was personable and attentive. The food was the star of the show
Incredible!!! Our server, Jordan, was so attentive and personable. He made our experience even better. The food was delicious, we didn't feel rushed at all. We will definitely be back!
I had the penne with prosciutto, peas and vodka. The penne and its tomato cream sauce were fresh and delicious. You couldn't ask for better taste. However, the prosciutto, vodka and peas were so faint as to almost seem nonexistent. I also had the mixed vegetable side dish because I wanted to be somewhat healthy. It was fine. Ending the meal with the tiramisu dessert was excellent! There were other items on the final menu that sounded good. The food comes out quickly at this popular DC restaurant. Service is friendly and very likable, but too busy to be attentive.
Our server didn't seem to really want to be there. He briefly talked to us about a wine that we asked about and during the conversation he walked away before we could order, but then brought a glass of the wine back, assuming that we had ordered it. One person in our party Asked what was in her drink again and he said he had no idea, but we were able to go back in reference the menu. Once we ordered our food, a kitchen runner dropped off our food and our waiter. Never came back to ask us if we even liked it. We didn't see our server until it was time for him to bring the check. Food was good, but there are other Italian options in DC that are better.
The best Italian restaurant in DC. Make sure to look at the special seasonal offerings. Save room for dessert too; you won't regret it.
Everything was wonderful! Food! Service! Setting! Outstanding! Our first time and we will be back!
Everything was fine. There could be improvements. My son got the drunken veal Parm. It was heavy on the breading which fell off and it was too much cheese. Vodka sauce was average. Fried cheese was fine just soggy. It was good. Not great.
My visit to Caruso's was FABULOUS. I had an amazing time. The food was amazing and I have been thinking about it since last night. Our server was amazing and was beyond attentive. I will absolutely be back.
The service was prompt and polite. The wine was great, the seasonal winter greens salad was fantastic. (If you like a more saturated salad, this is for you, not for light dressing fans). The fried mozzarella was too dried out. The spicy ragu was so tasty, but the pasta to sauce ratio was way off. The chicken parm was fine. The creme brûlée was good, but I'm not sure why they felt the need to add orange flavoring. The side bread that came to the table was mediocre at best; neither warm nor fresh. Overall, we'd give it a 3.5/5.

We had a lovely Christmas Eve meal at Caruso's. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the atmosphere lively. I recommend the burrata, the bucatini with ragu, Caesar salad, crème brûlée, tiramisu and definitely the limoncellotini! There's a great wine list, too!
Great and personable service. Good no frills Italian food. Good wines. Definitely will go back.
Everything was wonderful as always. The food is amazing and our server Scott was great! Will definitely return.
An outstanding meal with amazing service from Ivi! Fantastic flavors and enough food to fill you up and take some home to enjoy the next day. An exceptional time was had!
Wonderful dinner. Every course, appetizers to dessert, was well executed; fresh, tasty, well plated, and an attentive, knowledgeable, and conscientious waiter. What a perfect evening!
