I just ate at Chadol DC with my son and his college friends, and it was easily the worst Korean BBQ experience I’ve ever had. The meat was decent, but the service was shockingly poor.

Our server ignored us repeatedly, even when we were clearly trying to get his attention—and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. He never once dropped by to check on us. He grilled meat for the table next to us but left us to do it ourselves. When I asked him to replace the grilling plate, he stared blankly in other direction without responding. The replacement grill also appeared unclean—when we placed meat on it and flipped it, black soot transferred onto the food, which shouldn’t happen if the grill was properly cleaned.

I tipped 15% out of courtesy, but I regret it. The Korean manager wasn’t any better—he claimed not to understand Korean, which seemed funny because we all distinctly heard Korean accent when he spoke English. All of this left us with the impression they were deliberately dragging out the service, knowing we only had a 90-minute dining window.

This was a huge disappointment. There are far better Korean BBQ options in DC. I won’t be returning.

By far my favorite restaurant!!! It has the most original Korean BBQ spices. Korean is my favorite food and it definitely lived up to the amazing ambience of Harry Potter.

Be aware each serving of meat is for 2-4 people… I highly recommend spicy chicken and spicy top blade steak. It has a kick as Korean food should. My favorite spot in the country!!! Sorry for the pic, I was enjoying the food.

Had such a great time at Chadol Korean BBQ! The food was super fresh and the meats were top quality. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the staff made sure our grill was always ready. The service was fast and friendly, and the vibe was fun — perfect spot to hang out with friends or family. Definitely one of the best Korean BBQ places I’ve been to in the area. Highly recommend!

Everything from food to service was top notch at Chadol DC! My 15yo daughter wanted to have Korean BBQ for her birthday with a group of 7 teens (not an easy crowd haha and one friend is vegetarian) and I called a handful of places in the MD and DC area. Even over the phone, the people at Chadol provided the most accommodating service that I knew we had to have the birthday dinner there, and they listed the options for someone who is vegetarian. The other places I called said they don't take reservations and come early and maybe we will be lucky, and that there aren't good options for vegetarians. The food (especially the pork) was super yummy and everything was presented in an entertaining manner (conveyor belt for the win and luscious slices of cake), our waiter was so kind and friendly, and they gave some things on the house for my daughter's birthday including a handwritten card. Their attention to service and detail was amazing, and 7 teen girls and I had a great time. Thank you from our bellies and the bottoms of our hearts, Chadol!!!

I liked but my first Korean bbq. Heavy on meat. Not much for veggies.

Classic Korean BBQ experience with tabletop grills, generous portions of meats and sides, and a lively, interactive atmosphere that’s perfect for groups who want to cook, share, and eat together.

Very solid, high-quality Korean BBQ right here in DC! All the all-you-can-eat meats are great, with the ribeye and marinated short rib being standouts. They even have unique options like curry pork belly you don’t usually find elsewhere. Seafood is limited to shrimp, but the focus is definitely the meats. Super friendly staff, very clean space, and great ventilation (not smoky at all). I’m glad I don’t have to trek out to VA or MD for good Korean BBQ anymore!

This place is really great! As someone very familiar with Korean BBQ and gets it all the time, this place offers a great value for $40 AYCE. The quality of the meats is great, if sliced thinner, but since it’s all you can eat, just order as much as you like.

Seasoning-wise, it’s good, but slightly catered to Western tastes, considering the location. But I’m sure they will accommodate if you tell them you want things Korean-style.

Cocktails are delicious, portions are generous, location is so convenient. I will be back. Highly recommend, especially when going with as a group.

Can’t say enough good things about the quality of the food here. We ate dinner before a movie, and the ambience, service, and food were great. Not as hectic nor loud as honey pig and we found the meat quality better. Eat here! (Photo after our feast)
