Expensive drinks, even for the area. And the bathroom had no soap left.
Great spot for cocktails in a cool environment. Didn’t have any food so can’t comment on that.

Metrobar is a one-of-a-kind spot located near the Rhode Island metro station and the Alamo movie theater. This container park bar features a quirky industrial and speakeasy vibe, highlighted by a refurbished metro car that attracts transportation enthusiasts. It has three main areas: a front section with a bar and seating, the famous metro car bar, and a spacious back area with bar stools, high tables, and comfortable booths with gas firepits. The outdoor areas offer plenty of seating, making it ideal for events or relaxing evenings. The cocktail menu is diverse and well-priced, featuring creatively crafted drinks and standard options. The atmosphere is hip, with great music, including hip hop and R&B, and the bar hosts fun events like trivia and bingo. It’s a wonderful place for a date or a night out, but visitors should check for events and plan accordingly, especially during colder months when outdoor areas may be affected by the weather. The unique setting, with old metro subway cars indoors and outdoor dining, makes Metrobar a memorable experience. The vibe is nice on a summer day, and there are large amounts of space and different areas to sit. Staff are friendly and the drinks are refreshing. During cooler evenings, there are heaters for outdoor seating, ensuring comfort. However, ordering drinks can be a bit confusing as they can either be ordered from the bar or via a QR code, with the latter bringing drinks from outside rather than from the metro car. The main attraction remains the refurbished metro car, which is worth the hype for aficionados of the DC Metro, offering comfy seats and a good selection of drinks.
