We love this place. The food is outstanding and the waitstaff is amazing. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Ethiopian food!

Opentable Diner

We split a sample plate. It was over-the-top spectacular! It had something like 10 Virgen dishes and for meat dishes. Each one of them was unique, perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and highlighting the individual ingredients. It was served with the Ethiopian flatbread sourdough, which was also perfectly Prepared, light and spongy. There are Ethiopian pieces of artwork which were beautiful to look at. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant, but she kept up amazingly well! We enjoyed the entire experience.

This is our favorite Ethiopian spot in Bethesda. The service is always great, and the food is delicious. We normally order the 10 piece vegetarian sampler and add to it, but today, I tried a fish dish (tilapia) which was quite delicious. It's always a great experience!

Great spot for Ethiopian in Bethesda. Food is top notch. Tef injera available upon request. Presentation is a little non traditional, asfood is on individual plates by default, but they will do a share plate if you ask. A gem just outside of Bethesda Row.

Absolutely amazing. Extremely delicious food with so much flavor and spices. Generous amounts of injera bread. I got the veggie platter with beef tibs with a friend and it was simply spectacular. Leagues better than the bougie DC restaurants that are serving prix fixe meals.

I walked up the stairs to the restaurant as I walked into the doors I could already feel the culture. The paintings and soft music. The bartender greeted Me immediately and was very friendly. I already knew I wanted the Lamb Tibs with injera. The food came out quick. I sat at the bar and there was nice cozy feel to it. The food was delicious and the staff was beautiful. I knew that it would be authentic with the different language on the door and on the menu. It was close to my delivery.

The food was great but I didn’t like the service, we had to wait more than an hour to get our food even if we tried to ask the server they were not great in responding. We had the vegan platter which is served with unlimited injera(fermented Millet Dosa/Crepe, Doro wet (Chicken Oily Stew) and both were flavorful. I guess the Michelin star was worth for the food but not for the service.

Server was helpful explaining the menu. Food sampler with 10 options was great for three people. The service was a bit slow. The food very flavorful and the bread was tangy and unique. Great first experience. I think the only downside was waiting for water refills and the check for quite some time even though the restaurant was almost empty

Warm service from the team from greeting throughout the end of the meal. Well prepared food. Nice quiet atmosphere that enables good conversation. A great place to share a good meal.

Really tasty food and friendly service.

Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten friendly options and could opt for gluten free injera for $3 extra charge per person.
