I've frequented Chez Lily Cafe for lunch on multiple occasions, and each visit has been a delightful experience. Their tuna salad sandwiches are a standout, boasting a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The croissants are a flaky indulgence, and the crumb cake is a sweet treat that never disappoints. Pairing these with their green tea adds a refreshing touch to the meal. The cozy ambiance and consistently delicious offerings make Chez Lily Cafe a go-to spot for satisfying breakfast, brunch or lunches.

Really good breakfast sandwiches

I really wanted to like Chez Lily, it's very cute with plants decorating the space and dog friendly! There are only a few small tables and then some bar stools by the window, so I mainly see it as a take your coffee to go spot. After going a couple of times, I just don't think I'll return. Their drinks are a mixed bag as they had a specialty pistachio drink that was really good, but their chai latte missed the mark.

Such a cute atmosphere, good and unique lattes, and love that they're pet-friendly since I'm often walking my dog when I stop by to grab a coffee. (...and the fact that they're dog's face is on their cup holders )

Just moved into an apt. bldg. steps away from here so, being gluten-intolerant, I really appreciated that you had a gluten-free bakery/food option that I could eat!The GF banana bread was delicious, as was my flat white latte. Such a cute atmosphere and friendly service as well. — Will definitely be back very often I’m sure, especially being so close to me!

What a cute little coffee shop! I love the plant wall that greets you as you first walk in the door. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here. I got an iced latte and thought it was great; my companion ordered a cappuccino and it came out a little too hot, but definitely still drinkable. Both baristas were very friendly.

My spouse and I have visited nearly every coffee shop in the area, and Chez Lily is consistently one of our favorites. Their food options are delicious (and reasonably priced, which is so rare in DC!) and the coffee is always great. Plus, it’s dog-friendly! What more could you ask for?Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options. Even things with meat, like the breakfast sandwich, can be modified to be meatless.

I think sandwiches are below average. I got the hummus sandwich and there was barely hummus in it.

Iced americano was watered down and diluted. Hardly tasted of coffee.

The ambiance here is calm and relaxing. It's rarely loud and busy, so it's a nice place to grab a coffee and work for the day!

Chez Lily is a cozy coffee house located at 425 I Street NW, Washington, DC. And in addition to cold and hot brews..Iyana (the barista) keeps a relaxing vibe going. Thank you Chez Lily for being a part of the neighborhood!

Chez Lily is my favorite coffee shop. The owner is an absolute angel spreading positivity all throughout the shop. It is a great place to sit and get some work done or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee or a light bite. Make sure to try their vibrant coffee as well as their mouthwatering bagels. I LOVE CHEZ LILY!

I had an experience so upsetting today that I decided to write my first Yelp review ever! I am honestly hoping the owner reads this and does something about it as it is not meant to be vindictive. I walked in this morning and ordered a latte and an avocado toast with mozzarella and a balsamic drizzle. While the coffee tasted great, the avocado toast was downright terrible. The bread first of all, was barely toasted, and it seemed as if they just took small scoops of overly ripe avocado, and just smushed it onto the bread, and then totally drenched it in balsamic vinaigrette. And the mozzarella? Nowhere in sight! The taste was so atrocious that I literally took one bite, threw it in the trash and walked out. Had I not been in a rush for work I would have absolutely demanded a refund on the spot!!

Such a cute spot! The staff is incredibly nice and the food super tasty. First visit we ordered coffee, two breakfast sandwiches (one we replaced with the halloumi cheese because I am obsessed), as well as crumb cake. Now don't be turned off by the pastry case! That's only for show and not what you'll actually get. Because my crumb cake was insanely good. Couldn't believe how moist the cake was and the crumb topping was literally the same height as the cake itself. 1:1 ratio! Our second visit was for more crumb cake, another breakfast sandwich, coffee and hot chocolate. Couldn't pass it up. The space is tucked away, not overly busy, plenty of seats, and dog friendly! Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the food because I devoured it.
