I’ve picked up DoorDash from the DuPont Circle location several times and wanted to try the food myself. I went to their new location. They don’t have inside service at the new Adams Morgan location. The self service machines was okay, the food was okay. We got the lunch specials which had a few options. We chose orange chicken and General T’so Chicken with extra spice. Both were with friend rice which was really good. The chicken for both dishes were super salty and tasted...

Allow me to describe my credentials. I have been eating at City Lights for over twenty years. Five of my last seven Uber Eats orders (all that fit in one page on the “Recent Orders” feed) have been from City Lights, for a total of 20 dishes. I’ve tried most, but not all, of the meat containing items on the menu (I haven’t tried some of the dumplings or the peking duck). I have personally seen the new takeaway/delivery-only location in Adams Morgan (exceptionally clean).

These guys are the real deal. If you are into Chinese food (or not) this is the place to go. We were out with friends having some early night drinks, we had the most delicious chicken wings! Perfect to sober up. Highly recommend!
