Great atmosphere, the arcade games were fun to enjoy after some time biking the MBT, although they were out of my first and second choice of drinks, the beer I ended up getting was still great! Food truck was also tasty and very fast!

City State and thier staff (especially Cristina) were so helpful in reserving tables for a party. Their policy on this is very reasonable and makes it a great spot to bring a bunch of friends together. Not to mention the beer and arcade games are fun as well!

The Beer is alright but I absolutely hated how many children there were. Parents and staff just letting children run about the place, scream, and jump around, while their parents did nothing but drink made for a pretty terrible and weird experience. I understand it’s a market to be catered to, but this was no better than Chuck E Cheese. Please do something about this because I shouldn’t have to hear a child screaming or get bumped into from a child running between tables as I’m trying to enjoy a beer with some friends.Edit: I see the reply. We were there from about 4:30 until 6 pm when things closed for the masquerade. Filled with kids.

Great spot to grab a beer and catch up with friends. The space is big. Families tend to take advantage of the space on the weekends.

Really great location off the MBT and not far from the metro. The space is great and open with a nice outdoor space as well. Beers are good and the staff are friendly. They have arcade games in the back which is nice, but there tend to be a lot of families with kids so definitely good to know that's the vibe beforehand.

Great space with drinks for non-beer folks too (like cocktails and ciders and sodas). The beer was really good, crisp and flavourful -a good local brewery. The space is a little hard to find, but worth the extra effort. Kids welcomed with adults and there's arcade games as well as skee ball. When I was there on a weeknight, there was a food truck parked in their bay serving up some reasonable and tasty food.

TLDR: lots of screaming kids running around while their parents drink watery beer. I've been here three times: Big spacious place, old school arcade games which was fun. Overall it's kind of cluttered and junky - there is a lot of stuff laying around. The beer was not very good. First two visits were on a weekend afternoon and the place was overrun with kids. It was literally a daycare - screaming kids running around all over the place. I'd say it was at least 50% kids. An off-leash dog also pooped under our table to top it off lol. My third visit was on a recent Saturday night around 8pm and there were maybe 15 people in total. A family with two kids running around screaming came over to ask us to "keep our conversation down because there are kids around". At a bar. On a Saturday night at 8pm lol. So if you want to be around a lot of screaming kids, this is your spot. If not, then you should probably look elsewhere.

The space is loud but fun, kid and dog friendly, plus old school video games and local band play from time to time. They often have food vendors and snacks for kids at the bar. Staff are quirky and friendly. They also have non beer options including cocktails! I feel bad saying this, but their beer is not good. I am a huge supporter of local everything especially beer but I have tried many times throughout the years and seasons to give City State anymore chance and I am never impressed. It's either watery, or just not remarkable. Nothing is a drain pour, but I'm not coming here for beer or buying cans for home. I'll come back to meet up with pals (because they chose the place) or support a local musician.

City State beer is not good, no matter what style you order it all taste like sugary hops water. The place is just dirty, gross and inconvenient.

Came here with some friends to try trivia night! I was able to try a couple of beers. I ended up settling on the pilsner because I didn't really like any of them but the pilsner was the most tolerable. This is a fun place to come and hang out with some friends. I like that they have regular activities and I'll be coming to a comedy show. They also have cool arcade games including ski ball and basketball which reminds me of my youth when I went to Chuck e cheese and an arcade. They are not free and you do have to pay for them which is kind of a bummer but it is what it is. The parking here is pretty easy and it is for the most part on the street and free. Service is good I do wish that they would close the garage doors that they have for air because it did get a little bit cold. It is also next to a rail line and it does run pretty frequently so that can be some noise in the background which is another reason I'd recommend closing the door. If you're in the area I definitely would check it out.

Great atmosphere, hilarious comedy show on Wednesdays at 8pm, delicious snacks and hot meals. An amazing selection of drinks.

I really, really liked the beer here. I am NOT a beer drinker. I liked their stout and their German inspired beers too. I was surprised to like this place as much as I did. They had a good food truck there and lots of families and it was very chill. Cool spot.

Friendly staff, pretty good beer, lots of games but extremely loud inside. It sounded like a stadium or something. Lots of outdoor tables. I liked the hazy IPA and the fest bier.
