City-State Public House is a lively and welcoming spot known for its good beers and fun atmosphere. The space is clean and open, featuring large outdoor decks overlooking the Metro Branch Trail, making it a great place to relax outside. The interior offers plenty of picnic tables and arcade games like pinball, skee ball, and claw machines, which add to the fun experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially when navigating the diverse beer selection, which includes various styles such as IPAs, dark beers, and a dunkelweisen. Although the restaurant no longer brews in house, they offer beers from other breweries, often rotating with food trucks and pop-ups, providing a good variety of food choices. The environment is lively and inviting, appealing to both families and adults. It is kid-friendly, with video games and plenty of seating options inside and outside. The place has a cool vibe, with some art on the walls that might seem a bit strange to some. Overall, City-State Public House is a great destination for enjoying good beer, arcade games, and a friendly atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
