Ordering with a QR code and not knowing if your order is even in is not the service I'm looking for at a place like this. We asked our person working our area who was very helpful and had to order again after 30 minutes of no food showing up. We just hope we will not be charged twice. Management please remove the QR code ordering. I'm sure your customers and staff will appreciate that.

I came here because it looked like a friendly and tasteful bar and I was going to celebrate my wife's birthday. When I entered, the host attended me in a friendly way, when she was going to give me my table, a waiter passed by my side and told the host that I should sit at the bar with a discriminatory gesture, he thought that being Latino I would not understand English, however I am bilingual. I immediately left the place, how sad that there are such good places with such grumpy people. I don't remember the name of the waiter because I left very upset and left immediately. It happened a few minutes ago.

We have been here several times and it is usually pretty good. We had the absolute worst chicken sandwich here. The bun was minute almost like a slider bun, with the chicken sticking out almost completely. There was supposed to be green fried tomatoes and pimento cheese and there was neither. We ordered an appetizer but it came out at the same time as our food, which is always a pet peeve of mine. My friend and I wanted to have some wine. The prices are so overpriced. I don't remember it being this crazy. The wine was $20 for a 9 oz glass of very mediocre wine. I just hate when restaurants take advantage of customers. This bottle of wine is probably $10 in the store. There are so many options in DC and we will certainly go somewhere else next time!

The food was great, as usual. But the service was unfortunate - it was obvious that our server was cut and focused on sidework. It was at least 10 minutes before she came back to take drink orders after dropping menus and so we ordered all at once. She didnt check on us unless we flagged her down and by the end we made sure to ask for dessert and the check together because she was so absent. We had a reservation but were put in the back room/overflow space so it was quiet but we were out of the way. City Tap is usually much better.

Food was not worth the price. Friend got the chicken and waffles and it was very good, but didn't match the price. Same thing for the seafood linguini (or whatever the pasta was). Waiter visited our table a total of 3 times, friend with chicken and waffles waited 15 minutes to be able to ask for syrup. Then waiter talked to another table with 2 younger girls for over 20 minutes. Not worth it, honestly. Overrated.

We picked this place because it was right outside of the hotel. We were looking for an Italian restaurant and were satisfied. To start, the service was absolutely incredible. Our server Petra did an excellent job guiding us through our meal at Modena. We were recommended the Crispy Fried Artichokes as an appetizer and they held us over until our main entrees came out. We got the Balanzoni Tortellini and the Cappelletti Ripieni di Ossobuco which were both delicious. Very fresh and flavorful especially the tortellini. Unfortunately, the portion sizes are pretty small and you will need dessert afterward. Petra helped us decide on the Parmesan Cake with balsamic ice cream. Actually quite good and warmed my stomach at the end of the night. Overall, Modena is an upscale restaurant that I would recommend taking a client to rather than having the family out for the night

City Tap really seemed like the place to be on a Sunday night for a party of 4 early evening. Unfortunately, the experience does match others. They food was good; recommend the pulled pork nachos or the signature burger add bacon. Our biggest issue was the service. Maybe an off night for our server, but he literally had no idea what bourbon they had and came back 4 times to tell me they didn’t have the bourbon that was in the menu and to make matters worse, didn’t even get my drink until after my food came. The end wasn’t any better as we literally sat there 20 minutes after finishing our meal and the last plate was never collected (see picture). Despite the awful service, the place has a charm to it and the atmosphere is lively.

Went for happy hour. Waiter was rude and arrogant. Table seating made overly complicated because they were too lazy to split a check into two cards. Plenty of other places to go in that area with less drama. Not worth it.

The waitress barely spoke any english and was hard to understand. We had a larger group at the table and the food came fairly quickly but it appeared that the waitress was a bit overwhelmed with the number of tables (as we had to wait a long time for our checks). I had asked the waitress to put my order and my partners order together, with everything else separate but she charged my credit card twice. Not happy about that at all. The food was just OK but happy I was able to get a gluten free bun.

Visiting from out of town. Went in for lunch on 2/10. It took 20 minutes just to place our order & after waiting 45 minutes, we still didn’t get our food. We had to leave because our lunch break from our conference was nearly over. Very disappointed with the entire encounter.

The food was cold when it came to the table, we got a pizza and watched it sit on the counter for 15 minutes. Server was way too overwhelmed with tables so we barely got to see her.

Came here on a Saturday for a couple drinks. Very nice selection of cocktails, ciders, and beer (plus more). Service was subpar but overall good experience. While we were there it did get pretty crowded & loud (typical for a bar)
