Stellar speakeasy to stop at if you’re in AdMo. The service is phenomenal and the house music was such a vibe. The menu design and attention to detail make this a perfect night spot to include in your mix. Will definitely return

Code Red was very near my hotel so it was my pick for a saturday night in Warsaw. It's a small place but yet cozy. Drinks were cheap. Darkroom is small but ok. Guys mostly in their 30s and 40s. Had fun there.
We had a great bartender. Super nice and made our visit even more special with an awesome mother daughter shot.
Fabulous experience at Code Red last night. Ambiance was incredible. It was like stepping back in time to prohibition. Attention to detail doesn’t stop at the decor. The food was spectacular. As a vegetarian, I had excellent options. The tagliatelle with mushroom cream sauce can’t be missed. The hearts of palm ceviche was a delightful surprise. Texture and flavor combination hit the mark. And then there is the service. Charming, helpful and knowledgeable, attentive. They suggested drinks and dishes with clear guidance based on the palette of each guest.
I look forward to bringing my out of town guests to this DC gem! This was my first visit but it will certainly be on my regular list of favorites.

I just celebrated my birthday at code red and it was divine. The drinks, appetizers, entrées, and desserts were all excellent… Really fabulous. The service was great and has a very cool, historic speakeasy decor/atmosphere. I can’t recommend it highly enough!!

The daily Happy Hour from 5-7 pm is a good value. My husband got the South Side, and I got the Flapper. The south side was well-balanced and tasted good. The flapper, which has vodka and champagne, was a touch bitter for my taste. We also got a cheese board off the happy hour menu for $10. The cheese board included 3 types of cheese with some standard crackers. Nothing special, but not bad. The music was a short loop, and we heard all the songs multiple times while we were there. Our water glasses were white and red. The red varnish was flaking off the cups. The menus are old school new leaflets, which seemed old and were on their last leg. Since this is my only time visiting, I wasn't sure how much of this was a chosen aesthetic or lack of upkeep.

I always wanted to check out the speak easy bars in DC. This place was just okay. I got the rack of lamb and it was undercooked and bland, and not worth $36. They served sprite and a ton of ice in what seemed to look like 6oz size glass and charged for each refill. I wouldn't recommend.
Lovely speakeasy with an amazing daily happy hour. Great service, oysters, tuna tartare, Southside and Mary Pickford cocktails, calamari, and the music bring us back to that era. The Latino bartender is cool and excellent. The tall white bartender with the good hair overcharges, but the managing partner kindly corrected the bill afterwards, impressing me a ton in this age of bad service!
