Excellent sushi with impressively large portions honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen rolls this big anywhere else. The sashimi slices were generous, fresh, and beautifully cut. I was also given a complimentary bowl of Miso soup and a free dessert, which was a great touch. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food and standout service.
Located in an area offering a wide variety of ethnic cuisines, Izumi truly stands out. With an extensive selection of sushi and sashimi, as well as a range of traditional Japanese dishes, it offers a great overall dining experience.
Having visited twice, we had the chance to try several different combinations, with the ramen and takoyaki being the highlights for us. The cocktails are also well worth trying and complement the food nicely.

Izumi is a newer Japanese restaurant in DC that offer sushi, Sake Don, Japanese skewers, Gyoza, and a tuna poke bowl. The staff are nice and welcome, and the seating is both inside and outside. Pork belly, beef, shrimp, and raw salmon with seasoned sushi rice. The sushi is high-quality, delicious, and reasonable prices. The restaurant makes a great date night and the staff receive outstanding. The poke bowl is decent but missing avocado, while the skewers and sushi are amazing and good.
