Best place to see the local indie bands! Been going here for a few years, tickets are fairly cheap. Great pizza, too!

Live shows in the back room are always a great scene. Pizza is excellent and the staff are uniformly courteous and professional. It's an institution.

Used to love Comet Ping Pong but things changed a bit at some point - most notably when they stopped having the very delicious tiramisu due to the departure of a pastry chef. However we still went regularly for a while but then the pizzas seemed to be different too - crust got thicker, cheese a bit too liquidy and toppings less generous. Came here the other day with friends who were still fans and also wanted to play ping pong and nothing seemed to be much improved. Basically if you want to have a pizza with enough toppings you have to order extras which would make the pies way too pricy. We also tried the desserts which were all much higher priced than the quality deserved - there was a tiramisu ($11) but to say it was a disappointment would be a huge understatement. It looked unappealing, was soggy and mushy and so tasteless it was practically inedible. With the ping pong it was still a fun place to bring kids etc but clearly the food would not be the main attraction.
Great venue for music! They really take care of the bands!!! Amazing hospitality.

Dirty bathrooms, uninviting atmosphere, our server was mid at best, kept saying I don't know what's going on, I just got back from college. We had one appetizer and left. Won't ever return.

Good pizza, solid performance from the band. Great spot for a date night.
I've only been there once. So at this point, unwilling to judge entire food menu or atmosphere. But seems that likely to be a 4-star review for both. Their pizza-oven pizza is among the best that I've ever had. They have a small performance area, maybe accommodating about 100 people; appears that performances don't start until 10:00 p.m. I had beer and pizza there around noontime. Nice part of town: Upper Connecticut Avenue.
Good pizza and great atmosphere. Little pricy. In addition, i felt that my pizza had way too much crust relative to cheese. That being said, all was delicious. I recommend getting a green pie with sausage, and the gluten free pizza crust is decently good as well.
