My wife and I just ate here for breakfast. I had the Anaheim Panini which is supposed to be scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato, green onion, avocado, cheddar, grilled sourdough. I did not see any bacon, green onion or tomato. I couldn’t taste any either. The panini bread was soggy on the inside. All I could taste was greasy eggs and it made me feel somewhat nauseous. I ate two bites before tossing it.
My wife had the Commuter Croissant which definitely had the bacon and tomato along with the eggs. The croissant was not soggy and it tasted ok. We both had coffee which was not bad.
The staff were friendly, polite and prompt with service.
This is the first time we have eaten here. There will not be a second time.

The food was good as usual, however, customer service was lacking. The “manager” was very rude when taking our order and even though on the website says that their hours were until 5:00 p.m, at 3:20 p.m he was aggressively trying to get out of the restaurant and locked the main door forcing some customers to walk away. We drove from Philadelphia and had visited Washington D.C in many occasions, so Corner Bakery is one of the places that we visit as it’s proximity to the White House, but after this past experience, we will look for other options with better customer service.

When I entered this store, I was immediately drawn to its cozy ambiance. However, my positive impression was quickly ruined by the poor service that followed. First, the dine-in meal I ordered was mistakenly prepared as takeout. The staff taking the order seemed indifferent and inattentive. Since it was our first time visiting, we asked a few questions, but their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. Throughout all interactions, there was no sense of respect for the customers. The quality of the food was decent, but poor service is a failing grade for the hospitality industry.

This location is about 2 blocks from the White House. They get very busy during peak meal times, especially during lunch, but they seem to handle it pretty well. Had the pasta carbonara which was good. The salads are good also. I’ve been to other locations for breakfast, which are great.

Bagel tasted like medicine. Everything is too expensive, a tiny tiny croissant for 5 dollars for example. Don’t really recommend
