I stopped into this pie shop and walked out with an armful of treats, absolutely no regrets.

I tried the chocolate pecan pie first, and honestly, it should come with a warning label. Rich, gooey, perfectly nutty, and just dangerous enough to make you consider rearranging your entire diet around it.

The steak, mushroom, and cheese pie was pure comfort food magic. Flaky crust, savory filling, and that melty cheese situation? Trust me, it’s the kind of pie that makes you close your eyes for a second just to process the happiness.

And yes, I also grabbed some Berger cookies, because self-control is overrated. Thick icing, soft cookie, somehow both nostalgic and decadent at the same time.

I leave nearby and I will orders a few pies for the holiday ❤️😋😋

For $9 a slice ($1.50 extra for the whipped cream) I thought my slice of pumpkin pie was rather small and not really tasting of anything. The crust was good, but the filling only faintly tasted of pumpkin and barely had any spicing. I feel like this place is resting on past reputation judging by how many have recommended this place to me in the past. For deserts in DC (including pies) I think there are better priced/higher quality options.

this place is a MUST stop every time i come to DC. i think they rotate their menu but there are some pies that have been on the menu each time i’ve gone. the berger cookie pie (pictured) is my absolute favorite and something i get each time. i’m not exactly sure what it is - i think a custard pie with a cookie on top and it’s DELICIOUS. the pies are decadent so not something i would get all the time if i lived here but holy crap they are GOOD.

My friend and I drove 30 minutes from NW DC to try the pies. I had my favorite, sour cherry. It was delicious. My friend had her favorite, Pecan pie and she said it was as good as her mother’s homemade pecan pie. It was definitely worth the trip across town.

First time coming here Friday, pretty busy got some over priced mediocre pie in my opinion. Not the best more like drunk food, or something you specificity wanted but definitely not something I would get again. The girl at the register was pretty rude. Light complexion and colored hair with red nails. She seemed all over the place and rushed me while ordering tho nobody was behind me. This wasn’t a very pleasant experience considering I spent $30 on food that I didn’t even get to enjoy. Save yourself sometime and go to Safeway and get a pie cheaper and taster

We came for the Puppet and Essenger show and made sure to grab savory and sweet pies for the drive home. Also shoutout to literally the nicest team of bouncers in the city.

I recently visited the Pie Shop and had mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the pie itself was excellent, perfectly baked, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was the kind of dessert that made me want to come back just for the taste alone. The employees were also very nice and welcoming. They greeted us warmly, answered our questions with a smile, and seemed genuinely proud of what they were serving. The interior was visually appealing and matched the cozy charm you would expect from a pie shop. The décor, lighting, and arrangement of tables created an inviting look, making it seem like a perfect spot to relax over dessert.

However, as much as I appreciated the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff, I could not ignore the atmosphere outside of the immediate dining area. Unfortunately, it did not feel entirely safe or comfortable. There was an unsettling vibe that made me a little cautious during my visit, and this strongly impacted my overall impression. A great pie shop should not only serve delicious food but also provide a sense of relaxation and security for its customers. If the safety concern were addressed, this place could easily become a favorite spot. As it stands, it is worth visiting for the pie, but I recommend being mindful of the surroundings.

I DREAM about the blueberry pancake pie. I went to a show at Pie Shop last night (love the venue upstairs!) and got a slice of the bb pancake and- I have rarely been so happy.
Great staff, great rooftop and GREAT PIE!! Worth every penny of the $9 per sweet slice.

Cute lil pie shop with a variety of flavors. A wee bit disappointed the pies were more crust than filling for the price. The flavors were delicious just wanted more of it. It was very busy and only one person was working. Not her fault, she did a great job of juggling orders and getting pies out. The atmosphere is very metal/grunge but hard to enjoy conversation as a band was practicing upstairs and the pie shop was also blaring music.

As I move out of DC, this will be one (of a very few) places for great food in DC that I will miss and probably cannot replace elsewhere. Especially their savory pies. Outstanding every time. Cheers, Pie Shop!

Went to a sick Metal show upstairs in the music venue. Nice smaller room with killer sound. Gets pretty packed & drinks ain't cheap but a great spot to see some underground bands especially punk rock & heavy metal. Nice big rooftop patio out back. Talked to some nice folks & the bartenders weren't stuck up like most rock clubs. Lots of bar seating
