Came here for a brunch date and overall the experience was pretty average. The food was ok--I got the hash and my girlfriend got the Bourdain balls and the breakfast plate. She enjoyed her food overall; the steak in my hash was a little overcooked and there needed to be more than one poached egg to go with the portion of hash I got. The whole dish also needed a bit more salt. The service was probably the worst part of the experience--our server was slow and hardly ever checked on our table. It took forever for us to order our entrees because the bartender that helped us at the start stayed behind the bar, and oir server was absent for a lengthy period of time once we found out he was indeed our server. To give him our check to pay, a busser had to flag him down because he paid us no mind. The music was good though, enjoyed listening to the band play New Orleans style jazz.

If you go, sit at the bar go during happy hour, get the Bourdain balls and set lower expectations for service. Doubt I'll be back, but it wasn't the worst.

This restaurant was outstanding, starting with the very charismatic, highly entertaining waiter who was always there when we needed him to the food which was delicious and authentically delicious to the ambiance which was good energy without being loud and a cool environment. The branzino, hamachi crudite, pork chop and bread were especially delicious. Highly recommended.

Really cute space and very much enjoyed the food! Chicken and waffles were phenomenal as well as the crab cake. A little expensive and hard to hear given not much insulation for noise. Overall though a really great brunch spot.

Don’t get me wrong—the atmosphere was fantastic. We were seated upstairs, but the table was surprisingly small for a party of four. Our server didn’t write down our order, and sure enough, she had to come back twice to confirm what we wanted. It also took an unusually long time to get our wine. We already had our main dish. (this is after appetizer) We were told they couldn’t find an open bottle and had to locate another one—which is fine, but in that case, it would’ve made more sense to come back right away and offer us alternative options by the glass. As we were already eating our main entrée.

Had a great Saturday night before a holiday party. Service at the bar was excellent. Four starts because the menu could use a few more vegetable options. Smoked fish dip was too creamy and that drowned the taste of the dish in the dip. Oysters were insanely good.

That said, cocktails and the bartender were excellent. Beautiful decor too.

Dauphine's was great! We were in DC for the weekend and had been told by many to grab dinner here. As Creole and New Orleans cuisine enthusiasts, we thought Dauphine's delivered! Only reason for no 5/5 stars was service. We expected a bit more attentiveness, but not the end of the world. I would've had 3 beers instead of 1 if the server came by more frequently. Overall great!
