We ordered tofu BBQ tofu wraps with a Caesar salad for a business group of 11 people. Everyone was thrilled, including the non-vegan. The Caesar salad is the best I've had; I think it may have Nori in it - or some other secret ingredient that gives it an addictive umami flavor reminiscent of anchovies. I enjoyed DC Vegan both times I visited this year and will eat there every time I visit. Highly recommended!
lots of options, friendly staff, outdoor seating is great if the weather works out. I had the breakfast bowl, and my last time here had the meatball sandwich. haven't been disappointed yet
Highly recommend this spot for any and all vegans. They offer lots of fully vegan options such as staple American dishes and more.
I've been to DC Vegan twice and I loved each visit. I went once in June 2024 and most recent meal was on September 2025. The most recent time I ordered the herb and focaccia bread. The bread is so perfectly toasted and buttery. Then I got the Chicken Piccata which was delicious. The chicken fillet was very tasty and I loved the batter. It came with a potato puree and broccolini which was super flavorful. Lastly, I got the Oreo cheesecake. It's so rich. I couldn't recommend them enough. The space is also very cozy. It's got an intimate bar setting and outdoor seats too. It's expensive but so is a lot of vegan food and it's located in DC. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-10
I tried the Chesapeake sandwich and was very impressed. Would highly recommend.
The French toast was to die for. I balanced it out with a salad and tofu. The location is so cute, and the service was great.
Editing this review after trying it a second time, from 4 stars to 5. It is pricey, but you can tell that there is effort put into the food served. Its flavorful, but some items may need a bit of salt (which could be good for those with specific dietary needs). The first time, I ordered the bucatini and meatball pasta, Chesapeake fritter sandwich, and carrot cake slice. Everything was great apart from the side of fries. The second time, I ordered the lasagne with focaccia bread and carrot cake. The second order was magnificent. SO good! Overall, I would recommend.
This place was great, always awesome to find great vegan food while traveling! Great atmosphere and the service was super friendly. I'll be back before my trip is over!

Look at my reviews. Look at how many I leave for vegan food :). Now hear me when i say that this was a really lovely brunch, with some really nice folks who helped me today. If you enjoy vegan food and are in dc for one meal only, come here. You won't be disappointed.

Such a lovely spot- food was AMAZING, atmosphere was perfect. I had the calamari which was so well done, I honestly couldn’t tell it was mushrooms. And the eggplant entree with ricotta almond cheese was also delicious. There were SO many different desserts! This place is a dream for vegans ☺️
