I thought it was terrible! Too weird a place, to say the least

On a Tuesday night it was quiet. The music was fantastic. I loved the decor. It's kind of a dive bar.

I’m not sure if this place has changed ownership very recently, or if we wandered in at a bad time, but this was not the “cozy” neighborhood bar that reviews described… I’m also not sure if I’d ever come back to spend $75 on two MorningStar burgers, fries, and mediocre drinks. They didn’t have the whiskey—at all—that was the base for two of their 8 drinks, and then my $15 whiskey was served in a wine glass. There was 90s hip hop playing—with no change or break, and the bartender was asking friends who drunkenly wandered in to hug her (and then clapped and danced and yelled around our table as we tried to eat) what they wanted her to play next because she was trying to “wake this place up.” Many would come in, stumble to the bathroom, and leave without ordering…It became very clear that we came in on a night that others had been told would be a good to use the bathroom between club visits. At the very least, this place needs to think about whether it’s a cozy burger bar or a club hopping pitstop…and they should let customers know before they place their $75 burger order AT THE BAR and have to sit at a table that they have to ask to be wiped down.Vegetarian options: It’s a MorningStar burger

Whoever was running the bar yesterday doesn’t understand what customer service or communication is and gets mad when he’s at fault. I noticed his poor interactions with other customers as well. I definitely won’t be back as long as he is managing… or lack thereof

Fries were a bit small and burger looks much better on pictures, but not in

Loved the atmosphere! Cozier and quieter than I expected and I liked the music. Fries were good. Burgers were good- not exactly memorable, but reasonably priced!

Very small place but at least they have began adding DJs. Saturday night's DJ a few weeks ago was pretty cool. Looks new to the place but in time, he'll have it packed. This place is great for a bar crawl yet too small for a serious party spot .

This is a really cool lowkey spot on the u street corridor. It's located downstairs which gives it a speakeasy kind of feel with brick walls, wooden decor, and a small bar surrounded by a few small tables and even a nice little fireplace towards the entrance. I came here for a friend's networking event but the staff was so friendly and accommodating to us, they helped with decorating, and even with such a large group they did a good job of handling the large volume of drink and food orders. They have a daily happy hour (even on weekends) from 4pm-8pm in which they feature $4 well drinks or shots, beers or margaritas for $6. In regards to food they provide $4 fries, wings and even some combo options like a classic burger or wings with a beer for $14. I decided on trying the burger combo (also comes with fries). The food came out fairly quick, the fries were solid and the burger exceeded my expectations given the price point but it was cooked well but not overdone and flavorful. All in all definitely recommend giving them a try whether it's for a small group meetup or a more intimate outing.

Horrible take out experience. Don’t do online orders for this place!! Had a paddy with a single leaf of lettuce and a complementary slice of tomatoes. The whole thing spelt out “neglect”. What’s the point of offering stuff that should be on the burger after the fact?

Great ambience. Best burger in the city. Everyone is so friendly. It would be great spot date nights.?????

I picked up on uber eats order for fried pickles & realized they were proper wet when I got home. I went back to request fries instead and the security guard taunted me, denied interaction with the actual staff, and expressed his desire for me to use my firearm if I had a problem. not to mention it was 12:00am & raining. Not what I expected to say the least.

Vibes- like ripple waves across the still lake, warm inviting, is the vibe of the decor, the comfortable/swank furniture, as well as the manager and all the staff Great music and people vibes, drew me right in, a little R&B Karoke/open mic. Supportive of people going on to do their musicGreat DJ/emcee who kept the vibe pumpin guy girl combo, on the fly cutting vocal tracksGood times

One of my favorite burger spots in DC. They underwent a renovation in the past years so some things have changed but I always enjoy their burger happy hour and Cajun fries. I've taken quite a few people here and they've enjoyed it as much as I have, and always ask me to return.

Insanely good drinks, especially the expresso martinis. Bartenders are very friendly and make you feel at home. Fun environment!

Burgers were very good. Bartender was very polite. Owner was present and we talked. He had the bartender's back when needed. Atmosphere was great, with great service. Drinks were pricey. While there are cheaper bars on U-Street, the prices are what I would expect for dinner and drinks in DC
