(1) When a restaurant closes at 9, it means patrons can eat till 9, it does not mean that workers knock off at 9. (2) Even if you’re in a rush, it doesn’t mean you can undercook your chicken. (3) Never seen a bigger pile of ginger since patronizing this shop for years. I get that you want to go home to your families, but do your job gratefully. Stop cutting corners on customers.

Wow, been a while, and it's better than ever. The combo is large, delicious, and though more expensive, definitely a value. Includes fried chicken nuggets (Kaarage), panko fried shrimp (shrimp tempura) and salmon sashimi. And each are a winner on their own.
The seating area is surprisingly a great place for a lunch meeting for up to four. Good atmosphere.

stumbled upon this place and had the best meal we had in DC, even the best japanese food i’ve had in the states. curry flavour hit the spot and kaarage was perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. good portion too

I came here specifically for カツカレー (curry katsudon), and it was perfect. The katsu was generous and perfectly cooked, the rice, curry sauce, ginger and pickles were tasty. The ambience was relaxing, allowing me to savor the dish while 80s tunes played overhead.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants I ever tried in the D.C. area, the food looks impeccable and the taste is just as good, I am delighted to have found this place.

Food portion was on point for me, and I eat a lot, I appreciate that the portion wasn’t huge as other places, much rather have great quality than stupidly big portions, that said my wife couldn’t finish her bowl. 😅

I will be saving this as a favorite spot to eat here whenever I am in town.

Super quick and easy meal. Order from the kiosk and the food was ready in 10 or so minutes. Went on a Saturday when it wasn’t busy.

I saw a guy urinating on the sidewalk on my way there.

The food was great though.

Very delicious Japanese food — the first bite was stunning! The portions are also very generous; it was the first time I finished the rice while still having fish left… The environment is great too, with self-service ordering, which is perfect for shy people.
