Gyros were amazing!!!!!
My newest obsession. Service is so kind and the small plate is really a whole meal. High fiber, high protein, warm and comforting. The bread is slightly sweet and is such a treat too.

Greek Deli & Catering is a downtown DC institution serving traditional Greek cuisine. The restaurant offers an array of delicious dishes, including soups like chicken lemon and lentil, and savory options like spanakopita and lamb. The portions are generous, with platters often providing more than one meal. The gyro is absolutely to die for and quite tasty, reminding some of visits to Greece. The owners are super sweet, and the recipes are even better than before. This tiny Greek fast-casual spot has a large menu of all the usual Greek fixings. While prices may be slightly higher due to its high-rent location, the friendly staff and iconic carry-out experience make it worth it. Inside is one small table that sits two, and a fridge area offers other goods and drinks. Despite potential long lines, it remains a favorite lunch spot with a constant stream of specials.
