I honestly have a mixed review but 3 star rating is for dinner and would have been higher if we had gone to hang out at the bar for drinks. What we liked: very cool vibe with great design inside. It’s a fun space to be in. The menu drinks and appetizers are also very good- loved the ceviche and hummus! What we didn’t like: the service was really bad. They had a lot of staff mulling around but we weren’t sure what they were doing because our server was really struggling. The entrees were also mostly just ok. We had a party of 8 and about half of us enjoyed our meals. Finally, the music was way too loud. It was good for a bar scene but extremely loud for dinner.

Such a great atmosphere. Felt like we were at someone's home and not a restaurant. So great to see younger individuals being so attentive and respectful as employees. Someone is doing a great job!! The drinks were yummy, the food was delish!! I believe I finally found a place in the DMV area that I really enjoyed their ceviche (no tilapia)!! Can't wait to return & try other dishes!!

Went as a party of 6 to celebrate a birthday. I hadn't been in a while and was immediately reminded what a great spot this is. The food is wonderful (and reasonable), the atmosphere is cool, the service is warm and attentive...and it just has a nice vibe.
The owners introduced themselves and you could see how they were meaningfully engaging with the clients and staff. Clearly this is a labor of love and it felt like there was a real sense of community.
One of my favorite DC restaurants. A local gem.

Just left definitely would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a good service, the food was alright little pricey for the quality and presentation, asked for a drink that was delivered when I was about to finish my dish, even tho they said it was on the house it was a tasteless chicha morada glass full of ice. They didn’t check on me during the whole stay, it was not busy, I expected too much.

One of the things I think is a mistake for Secreto is that they offer menu items from their sister restaurant.... this distracts the buyer from the De Rosita experience and specialties. Maybe they should offer incentives to return to their sister restaurant instead.

Mauricio & Nasrin have created a home away from home for Peruvian and Palestinian cuisine in a big city. Lovely place with lots of repeat customers who appreciate the hospitality of its owner family. Fantastic restaurant, my family and I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The ambiance is great, good classic salsa at a volume that allows you to have a conversation, delicious food. We ordered ceviches, a fried seafood platter.

Although the food was good, our waiter swiped my card. For some reason it declined and so he swiped my card 10 times and now I am locked out of my DEBIT CARD. Beware of how they utilize your payment vehicle. They need to train their wait staff!!!

I really wanted to like this place, and the interior is beautiful, but the food just was not up to par. My chicken, recommended by the wait person, was dry and my companions seafood dish had hardly any seafood in it. I commented on how dry the chicken was and the manager said it was usually juicy and didn't offer anything in its place or any discount. Plus, they added a gratuity to the bill without any notification. I won't be going back.
