When you get to heaven, you will discover that the food is exactly what you eat at Elizabeth's! Only, you don't have to die, or live a perfect life! You can enjoy it now. And by "enjoy" I mean, be astonished, delighted, charmed, and so satisfied. The imagination, creativity, and skill that go into creating and executing the menu, as well as serving it, are beyond beyond. A love story to plants and the varied deliciousness and beauty they can provide; here, they meet their full potential.

Tasting menu was creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Wine pairing was excellent as well. We will absolutely return next time we are in DC. Probably one of the best high end gourmet vegan meals we have had. And the service was top notch as well.

We are regulars at Elizabeth's and can attest to the fact that the restaurant experience never fails to disappoint. And I have to say, this was probably my most favorite menu yet! Thanks so much to Elizabeth, Chef, Michael, Nikki, Emma and the entire incredible team for an exceptional evening!

We didn't love it. While we love the option to have a vegan tasting fine dining experience and are happy to celebrate its availability, compared to restaurants we have tried around the globe this came in at a B minus. Maybe the menu just wasn't our favorite this month. Out of 6 courses only one stood out. The rest missed the mark in balance and flavors. The staff, while attentive, felt more intrusive due to the close arrangement of the tables. This has a chance to be amazing with some tweaks! So we would come back to give it another shot next time in town. The non alcoholic wine pairings were superb!!

It is always exceptional at Elizabeth's! And somehow they just keep getting better! Last night's menu was delicious and so inventive. And the wine pairing was 10 out of 10 perfect!!!

Amazing experience to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Food was creative, beautiful, and tasty. Service was next level to understand every course of our meal. Highly recommend

Enjoyed the experience. Tried the non-alcohol drink pairing which was mostly a success. My preference is not for overly dry wines, so not my preference although worked well with the dish. The caviar was genius and the fennel soup was so good I started to steal my wife's bowl. The main dish of the ravioli almost made me break down and ask for another serving. I did find out from the bartender that I can order it ala cart from the bar, so I might be making an unscheduled trip back. Overall, the double date was a HUGE success.

Excellent food, unique dishes. We are not vegan yet enjoy every bite. Service was well above par, some of the best we have ever had. We did the non alcoholic pairing because of activities after dinner and it was very good in both presentation and taste. We will come back to do the alcohol pairing and bring friends.

In my humble opinion

My wife and I came from Florida - both vegan, one gluten free - and dined with two local relatives - both carnivores, one seriously so who is also gluten free. The experience was excellent from start to finish for all of us. A unique and singular dining experience, especially in the world of vegan cuisine. The fine attention to detail began before I ever left Florida, with Elizabeth phoning me personally to answer a question I'd left on their answering machine. I will be honest and say that - although they do an exceptional job at explaining each meal and answering any questions - I could not explain to you what I ate beyond saying that each course was fantastic. The subtle mixing of flavors and textures, the creative plating, the complimentary dishes - even with food that I had a frame of reference for, like ravioli...truthfully, I do not know how one ever reaches such levels of expertise, craftsmanship, and skill to even imagine and conceptualize such dishes, much less execute them so successfully. Our taste buds were singing and dancing through all six courses. One person in our party got the paired wine tasting and we were all impressed with sommelier Michael Markarian's fine palate and the obvious joy with which he presented each coupling. The pricing seems a little high ($105 per plate) until you get there and realize all that you are getting and the atmosphere and professionalism in which it is being served; trust me, it's a bargain! Knowing that the menu is constantly changing, I look forward to returning to Elizabeth's on my next visit to D.C.

I’m not vegan - my husband is! Our daughter and her fiancé took us there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and the staff were outstanding. I have to say it was perfect! Comfortable atmosphere, great service, great food! Even for me, a non-vegan, chicken-loving, seafood-loving lady! You have got to try this. But don’t expect it to be a one or two hour event. It is several hours because there are many courses and there are explanations for each beverage and plate. If you don’t like to sit for dinner for several hours, then don’t go here thinking that you can be in and out in two hours. It’s definitely, an event!

Amazing experience, great service, fantastic food and excellent wine. I will definitely be returning as their menu evolves. It was very expensive (bordering on too expensive) but the service makes it 5*

We were in town for only 2 nights and looking for a unique vegetarian or vegan dinner. Got reservations online for 2, arrived early at 6:50 and sat immediately. Very formal English dining room feel, nice, cozy and lots of wood. The server, she was great. Knew the menu and helped us through, then became scarce. The concept is a fixed menu of 4 courses, with optional appetizer and dessert course - we did both, for 6 courses. Also got the non-alcoholic pair (don’t ask). Each course was created uniquely by the chef. Plated and served like a piece of art, and all wonderfully tasty.
Overall, a very memorable evening, better by far than we expected. Took almost 3 hours for us, as we were savoring every bite.
