Ellington Park Bistro is located in the lobby of the Saint Gregory Hotel. The atmosphere is excellent, with a bar area, tables just outside the door, and an additional upstairs lounge for more privacy. The space features comfortable green circular booths and windows that bring in sunlight. The service is very friendly, attentive, and warm.
The food is excellent and highly recommended. For brunch, the French toast is a standout dish. For other meals, the hanger steak and onion burger delivers. However, the chocolate cake dessert with a raspberry cognac sauce is disappointing, with a soggy cake and a barely discernible sauce. The restaurant has a full bar and a 12-page beverage menu featuring bottles of wine, wines by the glass, mocktails, and cocktails, though it only offers bottled beer. Parking is available in a garage next-door, but you must pay for it. The bill is subject to a 10% tax, but there is no credit card fee. You cannot charge your meal to your hotel room.
