Food is delicious including gluten free pizza option. Convenient choice before seeing a show at 930 club. Issue was NO HEAT in the restaurant and no attempt at space heaters or to compensate guests for a frigid dining experience. Go to the Navy Yard location if you can, much more put together.
We used Open Table to get a reservation before going to a concert nearby. We got there and we were the only couple in the restaurant. Didn't really need a reservation. Service was okay and food was nothing to write home about. Wine selection was poor by the glass. They serve Detriot style pizza - I've had better. Not slamming the place, but very average experience.
As someone who frequents the area, I can confidently say Emmy Squared is one of Shaw-Howard’s best-kept secrets. We ordered the classic pizza—half pepperoni, half cheese—and were absolutely blown away. The dough was crisp yet airy, with toppings that struck the perfect balance of flavor and proportion.
