Great Ethiopian wine. The Acacia medium sweet red is especially taste. The vegetarian platter for two is an excellent value.
My birthday dinner was wonderful and the food and service was excellent! Thank you so much! My 11 and 9 year olds loved the food and felt so good about their experience!
The sampler platters were EXCELLENT. Our group of three *shared* the 4-item veggie platter and the 4-item meat platter. WAY more food than we could eat, and it was all delicious!
This was my first time going to Ethiopic. The food was delicious. The service was great. I had the vegetarian sampler, the lamb and beef tibs, and the fish. The sambusas were awesome as well.
Beza is absolutely amazing! Being from out of state , and coming to DC to visit! She makes me want to come back just to have her serve me again, and enjoy the amazing food! Thank you for the amazing service!

Beds was an excellent host! She made sure I selected the perfect honey wine with my meal. The food was delicious and the vibe was so chill and inviting. Make sure you come to their happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30 for deals on select menu items! You won’t be disappointed!

20% added service fee. Amazing food and great restaurant, but we did not receive everything we ordered even after reminding our host

The food was excellent -- the lamb, tender and flavorful. A really great change of pace from conventional fare. The restaurant has a nice ambience, but because there are wood floors, windows, and a brick wall, there is no sound absorption, and the restaurant is super loud. It would help if they added fabrics, wall-hangings, or baskets to the walls and perhaps a few carpets to the floors. Overall, though, excellent restaurant, and I'm grateful I live only a few blocks away.
Had a wonderful time. Excellent food. Beza

My friend tried the sambusas at the H Street festival and talked about how delicious they were the time we were there. We tried to get some when the festival was over, but they had already shut down. To our surprise, they owned a restaurant and told us to come inside to order.
We sat as the bar and was greeted my Tigest. She told us the different types of sambusas options and we were able to get one of each: chicken, beef and lentil. While we waited, she bought us some water and complimentary bread. The bread was so soft and the dipping sauce was divine! 10 minutes later, our to-go order was ready. By the time I got home, they wre still warm and I quickly dove in. The lentil was definitely my favorite but the green sauce took it too another level. I believe it was a cilantro, jalapeño and lime combo. I'll be sure to ask when I return to the restaurant to try for dishes.
