The bar is now known as Baby Shank, located in the U street corridor, and is a casual spot perfect for meetups with good drinks and friendly service. Guests can enjoy craft drinks, catch a game, and try the delicious chicken wings. The staff are welcoming and quick, even when the place is packed, creating a lively yet friendly atmosphere. The food is genuinely good, not just something to tide you over between drinks. Visitors can also enjoy Dan’s Orange Crush or the spiked hot chocolate, both crowd favorites that hit the spot. The bar has a cozy and clean atmosphere, with visible TVs upstairs for a comfortable trivia experience and a back patio with a TV for outdoor fun. The upstairs area is often rented out for private parties, and the outdoor back area is perfect when the weather’s nice. Donagh, the friendly barkeep, serves a very decent Irish special with a generous pour. Exiles Bar is a very solid local spot, popular with fans of the Tar Heels during college hoops season.
