They very much deserve all of the accolades. The non alcoholic beverage pairing is well thought out and unusual. Everything was delicious. Worth every penny!

Fiola is refined Italian fine dining at its most luxurious. Service is polished, and the menu is built around seasonality and classical technique.

Its uniqueness is its elegance—each dish showcases restraint paired with deep flavor.

Dish I liked: Lobster Ravioli — silky pasta, rich shellfish reduction, and a beautiful expression of Italian craftsmanship.

A true gem. Easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced, anywhere in the world.

Fiola has become one of my absolute favorite restaurants, not just in the D.C. area, but globally. Every single visit has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walk through the door, the manager Davide, Chef Antonio, and the entire staff (Kinga, Jess, Chris, Erin) make us feel completely at home. Their generosity, graciousness, and genuine hospitality are unmatched, every interaction feels heartfelt and sincere.

What truly sets Fiola apart is that it’s authentically Italian, not in the superficial sense, but in the soul and spirit of what Italian dining is meant to be: warmth, care, and an unwavering dedication to excellence. Every dish reflects passion, artistry, and deep respect for tradition.

We always leave Fiola feeling deeply impressed and grateful for such an unforgettable experience. The food, the people, and the atmosphere are all truly exceptional. This place deserves far more than just one Michelin star. In my opinion, Fiola is hands down my favorite restaurant in Northern Virginia and the D.C. area, and one that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

From start to finish, our evening at Fiola was absolutely exceptional. The food was nothing short of divine. Every course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on every detail, but Fiola truly exceeded our expectations.

A huge thank you to Gannon, who was incredible throughout the night. His attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care made our dining experience feel personal and seamless. We also want to recognize Jared, whose expertise elevated the evening even further. His thoughtful wine pairings complemented each dish perfectly, he has a true gift for understanding both the cuisine and the guest experience.

We left feeling completely taken care of, delighted, and already planning our next visit. Fiola is an absolute gem, elegant, welcoming, and unforgettable.

A one Michelin star restaurant with three Michelin star taste! We have dined in many Michelin star restaurants, including two former #1 rated restaurants: the 11 Madison Park and Osteria Francescana, and Fiola's taste and services rival any of these restaurants we've tasted so far. We were happy to tell the General Manager Kingga Boratyn that, and then she had the executive chef Antonio Mermolia came out to meet us and took pictures together. The food was as good as it can get and the service was impeccable. The Wine pairing was perfect with the 9 course Brumidi tasting menu. Definitely worth a visit.

This was an outstanding experience and the food was outta sight. We did the 5 course tasting menu, and it was very filling. Between the two of us we split the fish and meat options. Comparing the courses, I would say the meat was better in two out of three instances, but they were both fabulous.

Shout-out to our server Jessie, and the whole front of house staff, who made this a really special birthday. Thanks for answering all our curious questions and for the gifts. Every little thing was so thoughtful, and it was honestly touching.

12/10 experience. Highly recommended.

Honestly this was some of the worst food I've ever had

The best thing I ate all night was the free bread

The pasta was super undercooked and the flavor was bad

The chicken was insanely dry and a terrible sauce

Even the gelato was extremely bad not super creamy

I don't know how in the world this place is a Michelin star restaurant honestly any other restaurant would have tasted better

Zero out of 5 in my book

Thank God I didn't pay for it but seriously so bad they should be ashamed of themselves for serving this garbage food

Wonderful service and fantastic food.

This is one of the best Michelin experiences I’ve had in DC. It brings innovation to Italian food in ways I’ve never seen. The margherita risotto and deconstructed cannolis were fantastic and my favorites.

Wouldn’t hesitate to go back! They also helped celebrate my partner’s birthday and service was professional and easy to talk to.

I finally treated myself (and my partner) to dinner at Fiola, and I can honestly say—this was more than just a meal. It was a memory.
We started the evening at the bar, which is part of the experience, and honestly, I loved that. It helped ease us into the night with a lovely apéritif and a few small bites that set the tone perfectly—elegant but warm, detailed without being stiff.
We chose the 9-course tasting menu for our anniversary, and from the very first amuse-bouche to the last sweet bite of dessert, everything felt like it was crafted with heart and intention. I still think about that scallop—seared just right, sitting in a delicate olive oil and chili blend that made the whole dish sing. The lamb ravioli came in these beautiful little square parcels, almost too pretty to eat (but trust me, we did).
What stood out just as much as the food? The service. Every staff member we interacted with made us feel welcomed and seen. Our main server, Tony, somehow struck the perfect balance—attentive, kind, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. They even brought out a surprise dessert for our celebration, with a handwritten note from the chef. It's those little touches that make an experience feel personal.
The ambiance is romantic, intimate, and perfect for special moments. You’ll find couples on dates, friends reconnecting, and even solo diners enjoying a quiet, upscale evening. And if you're into wine—this place is a dream. Their collection is world-class, and the team really knows how to pair.
Pro Tip: After that kind of luxurious meal, I wanted to keep the night relaxed and elevated. So I swung by PullUpDC on the way home to grab some top-shelf flower. Their selection is always 🔥, and it was honestly the perfect way to wind down after a night like that. If you're into high-quality cannabis with great vibes, PullUpDC is the spot. Think of it as the Fiola of D.C.'s cannabis scene.
All in all, Fiola gave us an experience I’ll be recommending to anyone looking to celebrate, indulge, or just feel taken care of for a few hours. It’s not cheap, but if you’re going to splurge, let it be here.
