Like all Firehooks around the city, great baked goods and delicious cakes. But what sets this location apart is the amazing courtyard -- no better place to laze around on the weekend reading.

Honestly, I walked in here to sit down and eat a sandwich I bought at Vace Deli (a couple doors down), but felt compelled to buy a drink. What I ended up with was probably one of the best latte's I've ever had since leaving Naples, Italy. These kids know what they're doing in there! It was SO good in fact, and the assortment of pastries looked SO delicious, I ended up getting dessert there too and saving the other stuff for later. Some unwobbly tables would help,...

Delicious food and beverages. Beautiful patio in back. For someone who cooks at home, it's always hard to pay premium for an egg omelet or muffin. Typical DC type cafe, chic, busy, relaxed gourmet.
