We came in with a group of 6 and had an amazing time! The staff were so nice, our waiter was kind and helpful, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. Good food & music too. 10/10 recommend

Staff really cares about getting people golfing regardless of experience level. Love it here!

I loved the space and went with friends all the time so I’m leaving a 5 star review. Everyone is really great and accommodating. However, for my birthday my fiancé booked me a swing evaluation. I’m not that good at golf but usually swing around 105. I wanted to switch from my strong grip to weak grip but it just wasn’t clicking when I worked by myself. I worked with Gaza, a golf pro there. The first 15 minutes were great because he was telling me how to do everything with a weaker style grip. I honestly learned so much and am excited to take my knowledge to the range to fix my swing. However, during the lesson he became more and more upset that what he was telling me wasn’t clicking, and that I couldn’t hit the ball well. By the end of it, he was verbally frustrated and wouldn’t look me in the eye or acknowledge me in any way really. I’m surprised that me not picking it up immediately affected him so much but maybe I caught him on a bad day. Not sure I want to go back now after that experience he made me feel really bad about myself.

My swing eval with Gazza Burke was exactly what I needed. I left with both nuggets that I can take to the course today and some action items to work on over time. Can’t wait until my next round.

doesn’t matter if you golf a lot or not at all — a big open space with good vibes/foodnbev and an even better staff — Ray and Rodney run it the right way. if you make the diabolical choice to get serious about the game, Coach Gazza’s the guy to get you thru the journey.

Great experience as always!

I visited Five Iron Golf in Washington DC on June 13th while I was up from Sydney for Warped Tour, and I’m so glad I stopped in. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They really made me feel like part of the Five Iron family. The atmosphere was great, and the drink service was super quick too.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to explain that the session length is self-timed. As a first-time visitor, I assumed the simulators were on a timer and didn’t realise I had overstayed until approached by management.

An awesome spot all around. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Expected a better experience. I booked a group of 4 for 2 hours for my birthday. The food was delivered cold. We ordered the $5 unlimited wings which should be on an assembly line and piping hot. The food also took an hour to deliver. We had to send it back and waited another 30 minutes. The technology was just ok. The camera to see your swing didn’t work in our booth #1. Staff was friendly though. Maybe my first and last time visiting. 👎🏾

I had my birthday today and it was magical. This is my first time playing golf and Miles really enhanced the experience. I appreciate him and I’m interested in golf even more.

This place is really great. There are competitions and lessons for seasoned players, but it’s also a great place for a date or a group of people with mixed levels of skill. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming and it’s also family friendly (thank you for having a changing table in the bathroom!) This is the kind of business you want to support. I wish I could come more often!

Deceptive marketing and poor customer service. Do not purchase gift cards from 5 iron. They cannot be used for many transactions. This caveat is not stated on their website. Customer service on the phone lied by stating I could get a refund of the charge by sending an email, and then later said a refund was unavailable.

Very strange experience at this place. My husband and I dropped in on a weekday early afternoon after having lunch. I had checked the website a few days prior and again that morning and saw that every time slot was available for a reservation that day. I didn’t end up making an actual reservation because I wasn’t sure when we’d be finished with lunch and saw that the place supposedly wasn’t completely booked for the entire day.
When we walked in we noticed the bay upstairs was empty and the place wasn’t too crowded. It took a while for someone to greet us at the check in desk. When he finally came over he asked if we had a reservation- we said no didn’t make one because we weren’t sure on timing but the website showed all free. The worker noted that they were currently all full due to “holiday parties” and we should come back later. I’m not sure if the employee was just blatantly lying to us or if there was a problem with their website, but I’m not sure how you’d have a bunch of “holiday parties” going on, yet your website still showing that you can book reservations for any time slot the entire day, plus with at least one bay open that we saw.

It was a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. Seemed like I could of just walked outside, quickly made a reservation online (since after checking again all of the immediate time slots on their website were free to book), and walked right back in.
Due to the vibe and rudeness of the employee, we decided to just leave.
Save your money and just go to Top Golf instead.
