Stopped by here for breakfast yesterday at about 9:20. No line, and just one other party in the restaurant at the famous MLK booth where the March on Washington was planned. There were two people working, and keeping quite busy. I waited about five minutes to order at the register. I didn’t wait long for the coffee and food to arrive though, maybe ten minutes? What I love about this small, intimate restaurant is the incredible service and the comfort of the food. I ordered the grilled salmon with grits and eggs—even though I don’t eat eggs (my husband does), every bite was still memorable. What made the experience even more special was learning that the booth we sat in was where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once sat while organizing his marches.
