The food was absolutely disgusting. The cornbread had too much corn in it . I asked for vegetables i got 1 Brussel sprouts and a bunch of overcooked potatoes in some nasty sauce. Dont get me started on the dirty cups that had dishwasher spots on it. I will never comeback to this place . Also had a reservation and had to wait 20 mins to be seated because they were behind in reservations

My husband and I were excited to dine at Founding Farmers, however we were sadly disappointed with the ambience, food and service. The reservation was booked to celebrate our first Valentine's Day married and we were seated at a table no more than 2 feet from the next customers. I wanted to order the goat cheese ravioli. They were out. The food was average. Our server (Jorge?) was awful. He barely checked on us. When we finished our dinner, we opted to take a look at the dessert menu. Our server repeatedly walked by our table and did not bring us menus. When we were finally able to order dessert, we waited far too long for a slice of cake and scoop of ice cream. We ended up bailing on the dessert getting our check as quickly as possible and leaving. Another business benefited from our dessert purchase. The atmosphere was loud and the seating was extremely uncomfortable. The service and ambience were terrible. We will never dine at Founding Farmers again.

Good food; great service; and good atmosphere.

My server, Edgar, was outstanding. He was friendly and kind, and he made great recommendations to my daughter and me.

The food was, generally, good. Our appetizer was a fig, mascarpone, and prosciutto over crostini, and it tasted like something I would be proud of if I made it at home. Or entrees were the catfish, which was fine, and a blue cheese bacon burger (which must have been very good because my daughter devoured it before I could have a taste). The highlights were a hibiscus soda - recommended to us by Edgar - and an affogato. (The affogato was a generous portion of homemade vanilla ice cream with a double espresso and a generous serving of Amaro. It’s probably the second or third best I’ve had at any restaurant, and I recommend it very highly.) We also had a small box of dark chocolate truffles with our dessert, which was delightful.

Atmosphere was fine. The restaurant was busy, well-lot, and clean. I expected something a little “cozier” for a farm-to-table restaurant, but it was still enjoyable, with lota of great people watching.

I enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, making it a nice place to relax. The food was tasty and well prepared, with good portion sizes. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a good choice for a casual meal.

The food could have been crap and I still would have rated five stars for Jose alone!!! Luckily the food was great. :) Always a solid menu at FF. Good consistent eats. Jose, move to the Reston location. We need ya closer to home!!

It was our first time in D.C., and Meara treated us so well and happily answered any questions. It was warm and inviting as soon as we walked through the door, and the food was incredible. Would make the trip again for the experience here.

Server edgar was great. Food was delicious. Gluten free friend got the spatchcock chicken and was safe and happy with it. Ribs were delicious. Kale salad with grilled chicken was excellent.

Only complaint: Tables were sticky and glasses were dirty. Server rectified it quickly.
